The Board has no balls otherwise they would be dealing with this situation as harshly as they condoned the termination of good and decent men and women who's only crime was being good at their job and disagreeing with management (that at the time meant being even MORE conservative than Republicans) or being more popular (gasp) than Johnnie Moore. Then the Board and Jerry Lamon/Haman Falwell Jr., yes I'm going there, allowed Marxist BLM idealogy to seep into the Liberty University Debate Team all in the name of trophies. Coaches first, then students and then faculty. It spread from there and you have no one else to blame other than Lamon/Haman and the Board of Trees..silent observers unable of watering themselves...so they wilt and die in their responsibility of providing safe harbor from the storm.

Order a copy or five of your transcripts now boys and girls...just in case. Never give again until this Board and all Lamon/Haman associates are G.O.N.E. #Classof'09

Oh and not on the rumor level avoid any Sweetfrog Tyler Lee or "Trey" own(ed)...basically several from Lynchburg to  Danville  Laman bought them for them to help them "learn" how to be good managers lol

How did Jerry Laman payback his Liberty University flight to Tijuana? Where did THAT money come from? Unless he signed a check or placed his personal debit card...where did that money come from? And if it came from side LU Corp. Is that legal? If it came from Sweetfrog fam....does that make it okay?

I don’t know these names but I try to avoid Sweet Frog. I know someone who got burned and I’d heard stories

You were up really late posting.

Any word on the investigation? Firm name? Transparency? No? Same as the old boss?

Rogers...I like your posts, but are we really still debating the endowment? Just read the 990’s, it’s all there. I’ve been saying it for years. The 990’s are public and readily available online (as badger posted).

They were debatable 4-5 years ago, but they haven't been debated since. I simply pointed out the years of misinformation when total assets were considered "endowment." The only debate at this point is that the endowment is being paid for by student borrowing, but that's all fine and good.

By the way, I looked back... It was in 2011, a thread on the FBS feasibility. Jerry actually called me out because I argued that net assets and cash on hand didn't equal endowment, which led to a big debate. Maybe he was just progressing because the 990s didn't show that back then. We also have now seen that he habitually twists the truth.

rogers3 wrote: September 10th, 2020, 6:36 pmSo you would say that Jerry Sr. was wrong? Did he oppose the Civil Rights movement? I know he was very much an anti-womens rights guy. The problem is that both he and his opposition were bullheaded about their positions, which were really at the ends of the spectrum.

Yes, Jerry Sr actively opposed the civil rights movement, both in the US and elsewhere. He straight up preached pro-segregation sermons from the pulpit.

Didn't Kamala Harris say essentially the same thing about Joe Biden during that time period. And keep in mind, Biden was from PA and Delaware. Not trying to slam Biden for this. Just saying that you will be hard pressed to find a true saint on this issue during that time period. Maybe Bobby Kennedy? Even JFK had reservations.

We have been though this topic with Sr. Yes he was opposed to portions of the Civil rights movement and integration of schools. He applogized for it many times and was not proud of it.

He mentioned it in convo many times while I was a student. He didn't shy away from it. He owned it. Unlike his son, who believes he has done nothing wrong.

I really hope Jerry gets some help. It is really sad.

911 Call From Intoxicated Jerry Falwell Jr.’s House Last Month Describes ‘A Lot Of Blood’
The dispatcher asked whether her husband had been drinking alcohol; Becki Falwell said “yes.” When asked if he had been drinking “heavily,” she said, “I’m not going to answer that question.”

The dispatcher explained that alcohol thins the blood and could account for the excessive bleeding, and restated the question.

“The more I tell you the name, the more you’re going to understand why we’re not talking to you right now,” Becki Falwell said. Dispatch logs, obtained by HuffPost via a public records request, state that “He won’t let her take him to the hospital as he is stubborn. Caller was not forthcoming.”

The 911 call was not made until 2:30am. I guess we are expected to believe he was bleeding out for over three hours. It seems that whatever really happened is far different than Becki's story.

At what point does someone step up and stage an intervention?

I would have. I'm sure you would have too if you were privy to the information.
