As plausible as his statements are, Cohen is not credible, especially since he is now solely relying on books sales for income. Suspect there are much more credible witnesses/facts still to come forward.

Not allegedly...factually. I couldn't find a "strikethrough" command.

Toward the end of the call, Becki Falwell, who has not commented on the Cohen book or the photographs, could be heard urging her husband to cut short the conversation with Reuters. “Hang up the g**d*** phone,” she told her husband. “Hang up the phone, Jerry!”
Another quote from that Reuters article. Good to know Becki is keeping it classy and Jerry still hasn't learned how to simply say "no comment".
Honestly, we could have been spared a lot of trouble if someone had been saying that to Jerry all along

It has everything to do with Trump according to Save71.

Speaking of Save71, crickets after I postured they are being mentored by Russell Moore/SBC old guard. Difficult to believe a few guys can get widespread access and coverage by “Christian” media without powerful help.
As a movement, SJ partially comes from the late 60's with Marxist underpinnings. But it also goes back to Thomas Paine, the 'Federalist Papers", and beyond. Certainly we should acknowledge the link to Marxism. At the same time, it shouldn't automatically eliminate any possible truth therein.

Since Russel Moore has been criticized a few times, here is a link to a 25 minute podcast of him discussing "The Gospel and Social Injustice". https://www.russellmoore.com/2018/09/07 ... ce-part-1/

Teaser:

"As a matter of fact, now many of the people who say the gospel doesn't have implications on social justice and is just a distraction from the gospel are also the people who are arguing just the opposite all the time when they are talking about the issues that they are interested in, and often I agree with them on those issues, like abortion. No one's going to say "let's not talk about abortion" or "the gospel doesn't have implications for the systemic problem of abortion". Some of them will talk about gambling and the systemic issues that come along with gambling, and, rightly so. So it's not that there's really a controversy about whether or not the gospel has implications for social justice, it's usually what "social justice" means in that context is....."

And what does that have to do with Jerry Falwell Jr?
This is what happens when Christians become dumb and spend too much time listening to talk radio and reading conspiracy theories. Marxism is always the comeback when one challenges a Conservative on issues that have become pertinent in an ever-changing world.

By the way, this should discussion be elsewhere on the forum.

Back on topic...the pool boy says Jr has been harassing him since the story has broke

https://www.foxnews.com/us/giancarlo-gr ... ssion=true
Since the scandal broke last month, Granda claims the Falwells "have been relentlessly harassing me and people close to me," and said Falwell will do whatever it takes to make sure he doesn't spill any more secrets. While the alleged threats and intimidation tactics might have worked in the past, Granda said he's had enough and wants to come clean.

He has shared text messages, emails and photos with Fox News that appear to back up his allegations and, at the very least, show the Falwells breaking Liberty's code of conduct on multiple occasions

Because they’ve been told to scream non-sequiturs like “Marxism” whenever they hear a thought that differs from their own. Same way that the left screams racism.

By the evidence in this article along with the others, it seems to be apparent that the Falwell children, including Trey, were complicit in the affair and the more wild Falwell escapades (such as bar hopping in Miami). I feel like this is evidence enough to rightfully remove Trey from his high ranking position within LU, nepotism aside.

No, this is what happens when someone takes the time to visit the BLM website and read it and then watch interviews with its leaders and they point blank say they're marxist and their stated goals are exactly what's listed in that 2017 article. Now who's dumb, you or I? If you had read the entire article it concludes they're just a blip in time. Americans as a whole are to smart to actually go down that road. At least most of are?

Now back to everyone's favorite topic, lets beat the dead horse some more

My guess is you are the dumb one
To think that anyone is not aware of what BLM stands for is naive at best. I do engage in these discussions at a Board level within a liberal arts college but trying to couch social issues as Marxist ploys is- well, it is dumb.

I do not have an issue with drinking. Fine line between drinking and drunkenness and it is wise to avoid it if your family includes alcoholics.

My issues isn't the drinking. It is the lying about it, hypocrisy and what appears to be abuse of it. That has always been my biggest concern.
