He said worst kind - and considering what the story is, well...I felt a twinge of guilt
I was just giving you a hard time. It is my go to move and now with so many long lost members coming back it seemed appropriate.
Ok. For those who are wondering what it originally said:

Trey is probably worried about another story breaking.

For the record, I have no idea if that story will or not.

That is interesting. I was going to ask how much folks from the mid-late 2000s knew. I think ultimately LU will be better for this, but am frightened to see what the next shoe to drop is. Seems like Ambrosino has more.

(Admin note: image removed. Please don’t post information that includes students/former students names where not necessary.)

2008 yearbook.

I share this ONLY as an example of where things were at the time.

I don't think BoT knew any of these allegations were happening.
And has anyone proved they're true ? A former skinny jeans student talking, doesn't mean it's factual.

There’ve been rumors of Becki and athletes but I always thought that was a little too crazy to believe but now looking back idk. Makes you wonder what was hid with the little events that they did at their farm. Movie night, picnic, ice skating, etc.

Also, Looks like the falkirk center is done thank god. Kirk removed it from his twitter and Jr was removed completely.

There was always the rumor of Becki and the one men’s basketball player. I didn’t take it seriously at all. Now I’m left wondering.

Here is the thing a lot of people will forget as they get swept up in all of the drama and accusations getting thrown around. If you put something out there publically, the person saying it, the publisher, news outlet, and/or website better have their facts in order or there will likely be a suit.

I imagine if something goes to print in Politico, the facts are in order. The person, nor the place it is written wants to deal with hearsay and a cornered animal who has no other option but to fight out of desperation.

Not just Trey, but Wes and Caroline too.

There are other stories involving the Falwell clan out there
Caroline got engaged recently if Im not mistaken...and doesnt Wes have a newborn?
I believe she got engaged on the infamous recent yacht party trip. Or the trip/party was to celebrate that.
That's got to be a huge burden on her now I would think.

"...and you may be sure that your sin will find you out."

Jerry and Becki had to have known in the back of their minds this was going to come to light eventually and how this would impact not only themselves but their kids and the university. Fact is, they didn't seem to care about anyone but themselves.

Acknowledging that LU will never get a fair shake from the secular world, is it possible w/ a new President coming on board, that LU has the potential to be a normal Christian school, just going about it’s business striving to do great things for Christ?

A friend of mine who went to a large highly regarded mid western University said “when I was in school I didn’t even know who our University President was. In a weird way that might be a good thing for LU.

I bet he didn't know who the university president's wife was either.

As bad as all of this is right now, I keep thinking that this moment gives LU the best chance of achieving this goal. LU was likely to just keep slipping on the path that it was - becoming a right wing rhetoric university, not a Christian university. This gives everyone a rallying point and a chance for real and decisive improvement - spiritually, academically, financially (and I don't mean more money - I mean ethical allocation), etc.

This. We don't need to be a political force, a think tank, or even a powerhouse athletics program. We need to be an academic institution known for providing a quality education through a Christian worldview.
