I am curious how many flamefans use this site? I am on it multiple times a day and still find people everyday who have never heard of it or don't think is legit.

It's my homepage. So... yeah, I frequently visit.

I go in spurts. I used to read it many times a day because he always always has the news before everybody else. But sometimes I can't stand the fact that he covers hollywood/tabloid/greta vansustran crap that I don't care about so I wont read it for a long time. Like I'd imagine now there'd be many stories about Anna Nicole Smith and the latest there.

I don't have it on my favorite list, just never got around to visiting his site or adding it to my favorites list. I do like him, I think he is very good and reliable. I should add it to my list, just never got around to it.

I go there about 4 times a day. There is some good stuff on there. My homepage, however, is foxnews.com

Ill agree with that to a certain point. I think some of the hollywood stuff is just dumb, but i have been suprised about the anna thing, currently there are three links about her but all are nearly at the bottom of his list.

As far as having the news first, i haven't found more than a handful of times that anyone has beaten him to a story, so i would 100% agree there.

Drudge is my homepage at work, so I'll legitimately visit in 7-10 times a day, plus I have it so whenever he has a siren on his page, it'll send an e-mail to me.

As for the Anna Nicole Smith thing, well, that's what people want, for some reason, I don't know. Example: I work at the Christian Broadcasting Network... and by Friday, the death of ANS was by far the most viewed story -- and it was driving people to the site. I think we usually get 10,000 hits a day for the entire site; Friday we had 14,000 just at the Anna Nicole story.

Whatever.

I'll be honest, I haven't checked in Drudge in years. Back in the day before the blogosphere blew up, he was out ahead of everybody using rumor & innuendo to get a leg up. Then everybody started doing what he is doing and it didn't seem as necessary to drop by there. But I do understand the fascination.

I visit it most every day. I love some of the obscure stories you'll find on their...like "man bites dog" etc. That was actually on there last year.

I think, as opposed to other gossip type sites, Drudge is more political in nature.

Matt Drudge is about as sensationalist as they come, but he still manages to scoop the mainstream media a few times a year. He also tends to get a breaking story before everyone else does. The LA Times recently wrote an article about Digg.com becoming the Drudge Report for the next decade, and talked about how even now Drudge still sets the lead stories for the news outlets most days. It's shockingly true.

I read Drudge a couple of times a day, but when he's going overboard with something (like the shark attacks two years ago), I sometimes have to lay off a bit.

sometimes when he harps on something like that I think it's a joke. But maybe it's not.
