I'm not surprised but that doesn't change my disappointment. I had not seen such hope from so many different alumni when this announcement was made. I am talking from all walks of life. I had hoped that the board would see that and alter the course a bit but of course they aren't.

Why would his age be relevant? In 6 months, either JR will be back or we will have a new president. Prevo is the same age as Trump, and appears to be in good health. Good a choice as any to be an interum IMHO.

This place is nuts. So what did you think they could do in 3 days. Uproot and move someone in from who knows where? Time will tell what it all means but to make judgments right now is silly. But then again its obvious a couple of the guys quick to shoot off absurd comments have an ax to grind.

My thoughts were for more “What Comes Next”? It was (or should have been) obvious that the Board was going with a Caretaker until things settle down.
So the real question still remains What Next? Is Junior back in a few weeks? The rumored 6 months? Is he back at all? I’m still in the Camp that this is a great time for him to pursue whatever it is he REALLY wants to do And hopefully during this time he has someone ask him what that is and they figure it out. So few people are ever able to be in the position he’s in. Hopefully he takes advantage of the opportunity

The Bored, didn't have a lot to choose from for sure. This guy was COB, so it does make some sense to place him in the temporary position, especially with school starting right away. But I still think he is too old. I was hoping that they would be able to agree on someone who will probably relate better to the 18-23 year olds.
I do believe they will end up finding someone who will be better suited for the long run. Prayers for all involved.

I have zero prob with with the crosswhite deal or much of the real estate deals mentioned. Carrying and main. Costs are very high and make it not desirable for most banks to finance.

Plenty of other trees to bark up. Real estate isn't one of them as flameshaw mentioned.

After googling this and looking at pictures of the windows, I am convinced they could have justified removing them for purely aesthetic reasons. They are all unbelievably tacky and some of them are flat-out ugly. I didn't see one of Doc. Is there one?

Latter-day Saint here, with no dog in this fight. Reading your post got me to Google them, too. I agree that strictly from an aesthetic point of view, the world is a better place without them.

I doubt that RE is the answer. Part of the equation, but not the majority. If you knew the market, you'd agree that there hasn't been that much profit in RE here in the last fifteen years. Now if you pay nothing for property and then sell it, yes, your margin would be huge, but there haven't big massive RE deals in our area. I'm sure that a forensic accountant could have a heyday with Jerry. Can't believe it hasn't happened yet, but I'd guess that it is just a matter of time.

There is and has been a ton of profit in the market. Many different out of box ways to do it. Also who said your limited to this market. Jrs biggest strength is RE in my opinion.

Ive seen a lot of money made in swva in the last 5 years in RE. Tons. Just gotta know how to play the game and have enough liquidity to get in the game.
