More from Jerry Falwell Jr's interview this morning.

Falwell on Liberty's on Liberty's 2020 Football Schedule
“We may end up playing some pretty big name teams otherwise we wouldn’t have played because of what the conferences are doing by limiting their games to conference play,” Falwell stated. “We don’t know yet, but we think it’s going to end up being a positive for Liberty. But who knows, between now and the fall…you’ve got to have somebody to play. You can’t just decide, well, we’re going to have a football season. Other schools have to decide as well.”
Do you think it is possible to play all of the independent schools?

Here is the List
  • Army
  • BYU
  • NMSU
  • Notre Dame (may play an ACC schedule)
  • UConn
  • UMass

I think he included FCS indys in his total. Presbyterian, Robert Morris? Double up with acouple of FBS indys and you have 10, 12 game schedule.

He didn't call any school names. But he said 8 or 10 NCAA independent schools. That # would included the 4 FCS.

I had to google the independent FCS schools:
1. Presby
2. Robert Morris
3. Dixie State (never heard of them)
4. Tarleton State

And I've read that JMU will be playing as an "independent" for the fall 2020 semester.

PAC-12 just delayed their media days. Considering the ACC and SEC also postponed their media days "until further notice," I'm not liking the odds of college football this fall.

President of Purdue University all but said no fall football on a Fox Business interview today. He said, in good conscience he didn't think it possible.

Clay Travis said yesterday that the SEC was probably moving forward with plans for a full 12 game season, he backed that up with the rumor that Alabama and BYU are looking to open the season on 9/5. This morning he tweeted out that the Texas AD sent out an email to their season ticket holders that they intend to play their full 12 game season with 50% capacity in the stadium. There’s hope on the horizon.

That's not good news. Mitch Daniels is a former Indiana Gov., and an outside-the-box thinker who I don't think would drop the season just for appearances.

Yepper. He would be one of the last to throw in the towel.

With each passing day, the weak leadership of the NCAA is exposed more. (NCAA Headquarters)

This has absolutely nothing to do with NCAA headquarters. It wouldn't make any difference who was NCAA president. He does not have the authority to make a one-size-fits-all decision for the entire country, and if we want to see ANY football played this year, it's a good thing he does not, because he would have no choice but to make that decision to protect the schools who are most vulnerable. Because the individual schools and conferences are the ones making the choices, there is still hope we will see some college football this Fall.

@olldflame gets it. I'm not sure what one's memory of manhood has to do with any of this @TH Spangler....

Why don’t you post the link. Unless you lack the mental capacity to do so. I’m sure one of your lackey’s will do it for you since you obviously are incapable

PH, you know nothing about softball, I know nothing about posting a link. But most people should be smart enough to "goggle" it.
