When they talk about culture and other levels, I'd like to know who they are talking about besides Falwell. Why is it they all have to make a statement on the way out?

I don't like them using the BLM hashtag. BLM is a group originated by Marxists that has no religious roots at all. It is pro-LGBT everything and anti-Christian. It supports destruction of the traditional family, which is the last thing African Americans needs right now.
As long as they are aligned with a position which they seemed to be a common issue(although it is heavily promoted by funded media and political leaders who sizes the opportunity for gain), then people will support it without looking into the mission of a platform.
True.
Could be they have a wink wink offer at a school closer to home or maybe even one of their dream schools.
Now you dont have to sit out a year. You just never know and can only take them at their word, hope that they stay healthy and prosper, and keep it moving.

Communists have been using black and white informants/spies to cause havoc and promote racial division. They have and are still involved in our government, academia, medical, Law, Entertainment, News Orgnizations (NewsCorp.),etc. All these issues going on is nothing new and will continue to be pursueded by this groups since they are funded to do so. We were warned many times before and it went right over the American heads for a few generations. Our society didn't become more Godless overnight.

Risewithus, sounds like you are hearing/seeing exactly what im hearing/seeing. They should both know how that works by the way their hs recruitment was handled.

Yep. I will take them at their word too. As will the NCAA. As will the media. As will most.

Jerry created a hole to drive a bus through. We can only hope that most of the seats are empty.

I truly hope that there is genuine, noticeable, felt and undiscriminating love for all within the student body, faculty and coaches at LU and that Jerry’s Twitter war sound bites are not indicative of the culture on campus. I truly don’t believe they are, but I hope that’s not just blind wishful thinking.

Blaming it on a teacher ha!
There is substance to this. Teacher was addressing my son when it happened. However, I agree, to make this about that incident vs the real issue is ridiculous.
Bottom line, we shouldn't let the behavior of a few label the whole. I refuse to do that. Coaches and academic staff have been nothing but great to us.

I don’t doubt that someone else on staff did something ridiculous, but continuing to wholly deflect off of Jr and the culture he has intentionally or unintentionally built is maddening. I want to be able to stand proud of the place that I loved for years as a residential student. I want to be able to shout it from the rooftops that every high schooler should go there too. More than that though I want those that do end up there to be treated with love, equality, respect, and be empowered to be a champion for Christ! I know for a fact most on the front lines are good and faithful to Christ’s calling because that’s what I experienced when I was there, but there’s enough folks getting in the way of that to cause major problems. I’m sorry your son had to hear whatever it was!

Wow risewithus for parent of the year. That is said so well that there is nothing else to say about it.

Only problem with school tweet is that most people dont know about the issue they mention and you have to open up more worms to make it make sense.

The deflection is obvious. They are embarrassing themselves and by association us.

Hope this is not a silly thought but is there a way to force him to step down being he is the one that appointed the board under him? I'm not sure if he appointed them I'm just speaking hypothetically.

That it's not happening is the only conspiracy
Or that he doesn't know of cointelpro. It's not like it's hidden; not knowing or refusing to accept something doesn't make it a theory. If that's what a person wants to do, then that's fine. Nonetheless, to throw that term out there without any basis of why the information that is claimed to be true is actully false is a bit asinine.

I have plenty of basis for it but this isn't the topic for that.

When is it? Because what we are seeing is the effect of that right now in low income communities and these tension. So I think it's a good time totally about it, knowing from experience growing up.

This is a thread to discuss players leaving the program for very legit reasons. Instead of discussing those you'd rather discuss end times theology? There is a chapel section to discuss theology. Go at it! I'd love to see it. But not here where we are discussing how fhe climate of our school that we love is having a real negative impact on athletics. It will continue to do so until real accountability is had. With how the school was so quick to put the blame on a random professor shows that they still have no real clue. Or choose to pretend there isn't a problem.

I'll post this one more time.

thepostman do you support this?

"BLM is a group originated by Marxists that has no religious roots at all. It is pro-LGBT everything and anti-Christian. It supports destruction of the traditional family."

I grew up in Virginia Beach. Three of my best friends were black and puerto rican. I hung with them so much our HS teachers mixed our names up. I'm Christian, I do not see color. I do not support BLM for the reasons sstaedtler listed above. As a Christian I believe all lives matter. Even the unborn.

I hope the players that left and attached the #BLM did so without taking time to visit their website to see what's up. I wish them the best though.
