I guarantee you that the start of the game was less than 90 minutes after half of the male population on campus woke up.

Down to eight scholarship players, the Bucs (8-18, 2-9) are 3-15 since starting the year 5-2.
I think I remember LANG saying something before about the editors writing the headline. No way CHRIS would've overlooked that one.

And, BTW- I'm an idiot. I missed that entire game while sitting around watching 6 hrs of NASCAR on Speed channel. :furious

My home PC crashed and I couldn't log in to check out the board- so I forgot that it wasn't a night game :banghead

Yes, editors write the headlines in the newspaper world. Its something I've never understood. But I guess it has something to do with giving editors a purpose in life. :nod

Those kids didn't get there until after halftime, which is when attendance is cut off. Go ahead and admit you have an agenda just like some people on here do with Coach.

I didnt even mention the idiot that cant count the fans... I was just saying there were more, That Comment had nothing to do with my "agenda" I was just trying to get the facts straight. If i wanted to point out people i would have.

The fact of the matter is there weren't many people there until after halftime. The Baptist side was completely empty and the student side was maybe 1/4 full.

I guess "Buccaneers" was too long to fit in the headline.

The sad thing is that they haven't even corrected it on the internet just yet.

I feel bad for Chris Lang; he's so much better than to be associated with that stupid paper in this lousy cow town.

Suprise, Suprise....only 3 complaints about the game...

1. Brew didn't get enough minutes or shots
2. LB once again took way too many shots
3. I noticed every coach wore sneakers except ours......that is just a little bit disturbing

Coaches were wearing sneakers because it was Coaches Vs. Cancer weekend across the country.

dickens are you always overridingly negative. celebrate a victory no not you. nickpick to criticize in some way. Brew played great. lb gave a big effort and is down to his last home game tomorrow. we are in the hunt and capable of winning the tournament. coach has down a great job of bringing this group together. they are on course to be one of lu's best offensive teams in conference play. alot of positives

i never said anything bad about duntn's coaching this game.....i thought they did fine......

It was just dissapointing to see every other coach in college basketball wear the sneakers, and we look like we missed the memo....

i celebrate more than most actually do on this board, I just don't put up with mediocrity

He was pointing out that the Coaches vs Cancer thing was for this weekend, not for Monday. That's why he was asking.

I thought it was odd coach wasn't wearing tennis shoes either. I was going to post something about as well. I thought maybe he didn't get the memo. No big deal though, as long as he plans on wearing them tonight.

Well, actually the facts state there WERE 2200 there. With all this debate, why can't we just get one of you to actually count the people there?

Since, apparently, Dunton's footwear is a hot-button issue now, I'll jump in here. Maybe it's my contrarian nature but, why should Dunton have to wear sneakers just b/c everyone else is? So it's Coaches v Cancer. So what? He can wear whatever shoes he wants to wear whenever he wants to wear them. He could be sporting cowboy boots or stiletto heels out there for all I care (sorry for the mental image, Medic; it's still too early in the morning). If you don't like the guy or the way he coaches the team, that's fine but going after him for his choice of footwear? Come on.

I am a Dunton supporter, I just thought it was odd he wasn't wearing sneakers since he's worn them before during coaches vs. cancer.

I agree completely. I didn't think it was that big of a deal. I'm sure Coach supports Coaches v Cancer in other ways than wearing tennis shoes to a game.

Personally, I've always thought that was kinda dumb, but if it gets the word out, ok.

what do tennis shoes have to do with cancer anyways?? I swear people come up with more crap

didn't someone say that they coaching staff would be doing the tennis shoe thing for tonight's game anyways??? So if you guys really care that much, don't worry they will be fighting cancer by wearing tennis shoes tonight...it will make huge strides for the battle on cancer

Two notes:

* On the Bulldogs in the online headline: Probably just an honest mistake. I know the guy who did the online heds that night also spent an entire day typing in results from several wrestling, swimming and track meets. Eyes were probably glazed over. Crap happens. I'll put an e-mail into our web guy and see if he can't fix it.

* The CvC thing: From what I understand, the LU staff didn't get the memo. Vincent in sports information hadn't heard that it was that day, and neither had I, and I usually know which day it is and wear sneakers myself to the game. Again, honest mistake. No need to castigate the coaching staff over it.
