Went by Vines Center this morning to check construction progress. There's now a nice hole in center of some. With all the rain, I hope the 2 pumps are doing the job, getting water out.

Such flagrant disregard for the law

You sound like a reporter for The NY Times. Maybe Jerry should put a warrant out for your arrest.

Obviously the guy up there isn’t Baptist. Otherwise his “proportions” would be too much of a counterweight. Ha

Has there been a picture made public of what the new roof will look like?

I agree PA and I think JR will put it on his list - very cost effective to give Vines a makeover inside and out now that they invested in the new roof.

Yes, bricking it over would make it look like a much better fit on campus.

True, but a good chunk of the original budget was cut due to potential fallout pertaining the COVID. At this point all that’s going into place is a roof and that’s about it.

Man, piping the triangles with blue and red LEDs would have been dope!!!! Some subtle roofline lighting on the new roof would be nice though.

The current seats are probably 10-12 years old and still on the old logo. I’d imagine those are on deck. I do wonder if Vines is going to have a more concert venue shape after this. About a third of the seats weren't used before because they were behind the stage.

That's a lot of bugs.
That’s kinda cool. I know it’s not the plan but it would be neat if the new roof lit up like that at night

It'll basically be the same Vines at this point, but with a flat floor and a new roof. There was supposed to be more done, but just about everything got canned. I think even the new locker rooms in the arena are going to be bare bones as well.
