The conflicts of interest are amazing. I don't remember having to compete with anything when I played but we did have something going on around campus every once in a while when I coached in the mid 90's. I know we need to have things to do for the kids esp since there are 10,000 of them now but man, can we get the calendars together to avoid conflict next year? There are only 12-14 dates you have to worry about for Men's hoops and another 5 or 6 for football with 99.9% of those on Saturday afternoon or evening and an occasional Thursday (1 so far in 35 years).
It gets pretty ridiculous when LU has spring break the same week that the women have their conference championship. I've seen it when there are more people involved with the game (players, coaches, personnel, arena staff) than there are people in the stands.
