Can anyone think of a scenario in which he is no longer the president? Resignation is not an option. What would it take? Use your wildest imagination.

Well, SACSOC or the state government can put a serious clamp on it. They were flying high at ORU for a while...same for Heritage USA. Jerry is becoming a cancer for the school and I believe someone or something will excise that cancer in some way. Jerry will take care of it himself if he continues with his idiotic tweets.

This is not the first time Junior has been disparaging of a parent in writing. Only this one was intentionally public...after being criticized not long ago for doing it privately. He obviously doesn't care. If Trump would offer Junior a place in his administration I would even consider voting for Trump. :|

It's no wonder he and his brother don't get along. Jonathon is a good guy.

I love Jerry's candor  . He trolls better than some of you guys.

The wildest thing about this virus is it's going to force snobby brick and mortar only Universities to get in line with the new normal. Distance learning. No longer the fringe.

Yeah, super Christlike.

To your second point...you do realize that time has already passed, right? Distance learning hasn't been the fringe for awhile. That's why so many of them had no issue going online. They already do it.

He is in charge or the world's largest university. He shouldn't be taking to Twitter to "troll" anybody.

Your last paragraph is actually what makes Liberty's decision so mindboggling. We have been trend setters in distance learning and have a great infrastructure in place. Why not use it? Why bring students back from all over the country just to make a point? I get it, many people think this is being blown out of proportion. I happen to be one of them but that doesn't excuse irresponsibility.

I enjoy his trolling the current Virginia Governor. Now there's someone who needs replacing

I'm still in the wait and see category with the virus. You can blame that of the "crying wolf" demarcates. After what they put us through the past 3 years I don't trust anything Washington at this point.

Jonathan Carone wrote: March 15th, 2020, 7:40 pm But those measures show Jerry either doesn’t understand why social distancing is important or simply doesn’t care.
I don't necessarily support his decision not to go on line, but it certainly seems to me that some of these measures are directly aimed at social distancing; moving to larger classrooms and changing cafeteria schedules to reduce the numbers at any given time in particular. Isolating at risk individuals is probably the most important. With testing becoming much more available in the next few days, they should also be able to screen anyone who has the slightest symptoms. Again, not saying his decision was prudent, but IMHO there is a greater chance of JR coming through this gloating about being right than it ending up a disaster.

I’m not sure it’s the Trolling so much. But calling people that entrust their kids to him Dummy? That’s not trolling. He’s just not good at trolling either.

He offered him the Secretary of Education job. But Junior didn’t wanna take a pay cut. Look it up. True story

So can Trump count on your vote? :D

The link goes to the US page, but at the top you can click to see worldwide or each individual country with at least one case.
3560 - mild
10- Critical

But I’m all about my quasi 2 week vacation now. Virtual meetings this week then nothing

The "critical" number has stayed the same for a few days now while the "deaths" have gone up. Not sure how that works. :dontgetit

Call me crazy, but when you sign up for a leadership role in a Christian organization, whether it's a church, a school, or other institution, there are certain expectations of behavior.

If you don't think so, I suppose that's fair.

And yeah, I'm a Christian. Liberty is a Christian institution. Jesus card is relevant here.

I have worked from home twice in my life even though we have the capabilities to do so more often. But I'm not a huge fan of it long term. We are kind of taking it day by day at this point.

It takes a long time to get used to. I did it for many years and managed hundreds of employees that did the same. The secret is to literally treat it like any other job. Have a private office, etc. Remove distractions. Have a routine. Take breaks. Take lunches. Have a set end time.

Some of the bigger mistakes that get made is the idea that multitasking can happen at home. Like, "I can watch my kids and work at the same time..."

Yeah, my wife's work allows her to work from home if necessary. I feel for the parents who are in situations that aren't as flexible. I've been there before. That's where a strong community and businesses showing grace will really help.

We’re keeping our kids out of daycare this week just until we know more. With my wife working with cancer patients, we’d rather err on the side of caution. Thankfully we’ve got her mom to help a couple days this week, but there’ll also be me doing double duty working and being dad.

Some are saying you should plan on setters for the kids through May. That's pretty much the rest of the school year.

American Airlines is grounding 150 wide-bodies through May (and purple that's not obese passengers and crew members  ). United is canceling half their flights.
