This is the best they have played in a while. What a fantastic performance on both sides of the ball.

Those students are having the time of their lives and I love it.

I mentioned this on FB but I think this is the first time in the Division I era (if not ever) that Liberty has won back to back conference tournament titles...did we have that happen in the NCCAA era?

We did not play in a conference back then. At the D2 level, we played in The Mason-Dixon conference, and I don't remember us ever winning it, mostly thanks to the presence of Mt. St. Mary's, coached by Jim Phelan.

What a game! I can't imagine a better ending than MBB getting that last 3...
I have noticed that Shiloh R has been getting more minutes these last games. I think we'll have some fun next year, too. I am more impressed with the overall play in the ASun than I ever was in the BSouth. There are quite a few players on opposing teams that are impressive, Asadullah being one of them. I hope we don't see too much transferring over there off season.

All I can say is WOW! 30 wins, blowout conference title game win, almost 8,000 in attendance, Cuffee going off tonight with 16 points, ASUN preseason player of the year and ASUN player of the year. Thankful for what they have achieved this season.

Unless McKay has seen more in practice from Newton and Preston, I would be on the phone with every grad transfer big man in the country. Have the guard play to repeat again but not sure we have a big man yet.

He was on PA system at halftime saying they would have off first day of NCAA tournament.

He may have told them earlier about being off tomorrow. No one should have mentioned anything about being off, until AFTER we had won.

I'll be honest and say that I thought we would get upset at some point during the tourney. I just felt like we rarely played up to our potential but I was proven wrong today with that impressive performance on national TV

Jr. responded at the half to the kids shouting, "Cancel Classes." He should've just laughed it off. Oh well. I don't care if he cancels classes. It's not like I'm taking any. :o

I think we'll be fine with Preston and Newton. Preston's played a little better in the last few times he's played, and I've always thought Newton wasn't that bad. Either way, those guys' roles will be to box out, rebound, block shots, and clog the lane. I'm sure the O will go through McGhee, Rode, Robinson, and some of our incoming freshman.

30-4 and did not lose a home or neutral court game all year. Yeah, they "underachieved".

For those who were at the game (or working during it), ESPN has the game on replay to watch.

Preston and Newton saw limited action this year because we have Scottie and Myo.

Whether or not we sign a grad transfer will have more to do with whether we find someone who is a great fit for the team and school culture and can help provide Senior leadership like we got from Fields, Chen and Gumbs than it will what position they play. If not, Ritchie will probably give the scholarship to Colton Reed. From a purely basketball standpoint, I personally think adding a PG would be a bigger asset than a big man. As of this moment, our only true PG next year will be Freshman Drake Dobbs.

Just got back home. Great game, better atmosphere, lots of fun. Didn't think the game was officiated terribly well, but it didn't change the outcome at all. And I am prejudiced.
Lots of growing up to do by the freshman, but believe most will be able to step up. Don't ever see Newton as a solid contributor, but you can't coach height.
McKay is an outstanding coach, glad he is on our team.
Really great to meet Cider Jim after the game. Looked for ballcoach, but couldn't find him.
Good time was had by all.
