Really good presser today - HF thankful and once again admitting he had his doubts about right decision but feels like he has received more than he has given this year - family thriving - good stuff

HF is really the only coach that gives press conferences that are worth listening to completely. While not revealing too much, he speaks his mind and really gives his genuine feelings towards the team. That quality definitely translates to how he deals with the team, and it shows.

I agree leedelee - I get why so many ole miss fans are still loyal and big fans. I loved Rocco pressers as well but HF is really fan and press friendly - refreshing !!!

HF said he is not even taking any phone calls right now and "wants to get Liberty to where it can be first." Seems to be a very nice response to hear as a Liberty fan. It is at about the 26 minute mark of the show for those who wish to hear his whole response.
He doesn’t take those calls. But his agent does!

I will be interested to see what we are paying HCHF. We were paying Gill over a million, and each time I have heard Ian talk about it, he mentions fair market value. So what is fair market value for a top G5 program ?

I am thinking 1.5 - 2 milly per season with incentives.

The buy out clause has to be pretty steep if he were to leave after one season. My guess is still that we have him has head coach for 1 possibly 2 more seasons.

Now BC has fired their coach. Firings Right before signing day leaves alot kids scrambling because a new coach runs a different scheme and you may not fit it. Do they still want me? Etc. Some kids stop getting recruited by a school in these situations.

I will absolutely guarantee you that there are MANY fans at Ole Miss who are more than ready to forgive HF and welcome him back. Don't know if that time will ever come, but I'm pretty confident it's not now.

With these firings we may be able to pounce on a few recruits and flip them. But, we are not going to be the only ones thinking that. I anticipate a few more head coach job openings happening over the next few days.

There is a lot of chatter about HCHF, as to be expected. There are rumors that he's heavily pursuing the Arkansas job. I knew he wouldn't be at LU long but I did hope it would be more than one season.

Anyone can spread rumors. Just like there were rumors of him going to Tennessee and Auburn last year. People talk just to have something to talk about. I need reliable sources on this one in order to receive a little of my attention.

Arkansas and FSU are the only 2 landing spots I could see him jumping for this year

HF isn't going anywhere for at least 2-3 years. If you've listened to his interviews he truly is enjoying his time here and is in no rush. It affords him the luxury to wait for a perfect P5 job for him.

I hope not. Signing day is in 3 weeks. I will try and get a vibe at the OV this weekend.
