Army LOST to Hawaii 52-31, making Army ineligible for a bowl with only 5 wins.

When all is said and done, the Cure Bowl is best one for LU. Orlando is excellent venue and good weather. Driving distance is good for lots of LU fans.

The Music City bowl would be amazing for me. I could drive down from Indiana with my brother and return the same day. Cure Bowl would also work out well, with cheap flights on SW into Orlando.

Not knowing until the 9th cuts it close for finding cheap airfare.

I could swing the Music City Bowl.

Family Christmas stuff is gonna make the Cure hard. If it was a 1pm kickoff it’d be a no brainer. The 2:30 kick makes it hard since the last flight home that evening is 7ish.

I could get a 10:00 flight back after the game, which is no problem, but flights that would get me there in time to do it all in one day are pricey to the point that it would be cheaper to fly in on Friday night and get a hotel room. Even cheaper on Thursday, so I may come TH night and spend the day FR doing Orlando stuff.

OK, if Memphis wins, we can all agree Liberty will make a bowl game. However, let's assume they lose. Here are the CBS rankings for the following teams out of 130 division 1 teams at the end of the year. All these teams have the required 6 wins, as most are 6-6.

E. Michigan 88
Ohio 91
Liberty 92
FIU 98
Kent State 104

So you could clearly make the case Liberty deserves a spot over FIU or especially Kent State. Those teams could be left out.

"Today" I could get a good price on a AA ticket to Florida, and another 20% off for being an employee. But on the 9th, doubtful. Start losing advanced purchase discounts and those seat are usually limited. Not sure if I could get on using my free space available privileges.

It’s that kinda thinking that makes you believe it’s why cities host Bowl Games.... Study

If we land in Cure Bowl, it a 9 hour and 40 minute drive for me. I'll leave Thursday afternoon about 15:00. I'll be in Florida shorty after midnight.

Charlotte to Orlando is like $31 each way. It’s incredible.

3 times that from Indy, and still a bargain. If I could book a flight for $62 RT right now, I'd seriously consider going ahead and doing it, because I don't think there is any way that rate will be available on the 9th.

Miami in the Music City Bowl could be interesting. Yes, they beat UVA, but they showed a propensity to play down against lesser opponents. Lost to GT, FIU and........... VT. 8)

I’d like it just for the Lebatard Show connection. The Lour would be entertaining and if we were to beat them Mike Ryan might explode.

Curious as to what you guys think of this. Do you think being 7-5 helps us have an advantage in bowl selection over some 6-6 teams, specifically the lesser ones such as Kent State and Toledo. Also, being that bowl selection is influenced by finances, does the financial incentive of LU being bowl eligible for the first time help as well? I personally believe that both of these advantages will help us secure a bowl no matter what. Only one team is being left out.

Yes, granted it's only a 1 game difference between 6-6 and 7-5, but 7-5 looks a whole lot better. and it's a winning record. 6-6 is break even.

I really hope Bob Good and his team can secure a tour bus trip for Flames Club members. I would do that in heart beat, and have made previous bus trips to Stony Brook (twice) and Coastal.

With all due respect, how does the Charlotte/Buffalo bowl game affect us, other than we beat Buffalo earlier this year?
