Now in triple OT. I give the teams credit for fighting it out, but I hardly think this is worth setting your schedule back for the rest of the final day.

Wasn't this supposed to be a 5:00 game for us?

KC has surprised me with how quick they are. They seem more athletic than us. We can't seem to get separation from them to get open shots. These are the games that the pack line has to win it for us.

Sounds like the pack line is doing just that.

Team full of JUCO’s...yeah, usually going to be athletic.

I don't like how we always seem to let these games get closer at the end. I don't know if this is still the case, but the NET rankings used to take margin of win into consideration up to 10 points.

If it's still the case it's important to close these games out strong.

Non-issue, Flames win 62-49.

It looks like Kyle Rode won the tourny MVP. Happy for the kid. He's been so solid already.

He is the best announcer LU has ever had.

The only thing I thought they could be better is in the last few minutes, for three straight possessions, they held the ball out at the top of the key till the 10 second mark and then could not get off a good shot. I think they do better when they are actively working the ball for a shot.

In the post game interview, Kyle Rode said the team will be doing a service project for the locals before they fly out tomorrow.

For those who follow recruiting closely, did you think our freshmen would be this good ?

A lot of people were pumped about Kyle Rode, as he's the highest rated recruit in program history. I think most are surprised by Shiloh Robinson. He's looked dang good in the limited time he's played.

I thought Kyle would be good and would contribute this year.

I didn’t know he’d be arguably the second best player on the team eight games in.

We just won all 3 games in a tourney by double digits to win the title without our best player. We are 8 and 0. We will be at least 10 and 0. I love it. We are fun to watch.

Really encouraged by mcghees ball handling as well. He looked explosive against press. Rode and robinson for 4 years sounds like a ton of wins.

The two questions now seem to be, how far will we go in the NCAA tournament? Will we be ranked at some point this year?

I believe we can make it to the Sweet 16 with this team. As for being ranked, I'm not sure but it will be great to see Liberty in the Top 25.

I agree, and that's saying a lot, because I have the utmost respect for Jerry Edwards, who was really good in his prime. Those who only heard him his last few years really don't know how good he was. Nick is on a whole other level. Literally a MAJOR LEAGUE talent with baseball (and that's where I expect he will end up) but man, he can announce the heck out of a basketball game too.
