I think we will find the low ceiling will not to be a huge factor overall, but with 480 minutes of basketball (regulation) it's bound to get in the way a time or 2. I don't believe it will affect any kind of normal shot.

The arc of a shot varies somewhat from player to player, but good shooters shoot with the same arc any time they have a good look, so the further away from the basket, the higher the apogee of the shot. Just by eyeballing it, I think you would have to be at least 30-35 feet out before you would need to modify your shot to avoid the ceiling. In other words, buzzer beaters that are really low % anyway. Length of the court passes will need to be Buckshot Calvert style.

Today's game is being played this morning in less than 2 hours. If you purchased a FloSports annual pass, you can watch this weekends tournament.

That seems strange to me with an 11 AM game tomorrow. Morgan State has been there since yesterday.

Here is the field of the tournament and what they have done this year:

ECU 1-3 with only win over VMI
Evansville 3-1 with the upset win over #1 UK and a recent 2 point loss to 4-0 SMU
GWU 1-3 with a 4 point loss to Morgan State. Only win over Howard
Liberty 5-0 Nuff said.
Morgan State 3-2 Besides GWU, their other 2 wins are non-D1
Milwaukee 4-1 Only loss to Western Michigan. Beat UMKC
Rice 4-2 Played Houston pretty tough
UMKC 2-4 with both wins non-D1

Need Purple to weigh in on this. Were you a perimeter guy? What are your thoughts?

That's pretty interesting, although I'm not sure how it translates to the court. There is a pretty good gap there between 47 and 53 degrees that the 2 charts don't include, and I suspect that's where some shooters fall, but the bottom line is that even the guy launching those 57 degree rainbows is going to be OK from at least a couple of feet outside the 3 point line. More normal shots should not be affected until you get to 30 feet or so.

A better angle of the ceiling.

Its is low, but not nearly as low as it looked in the pictures posted earlier.

Team is wearing the off-white uniforms with Liberty in script. Scottie gets the first LU bucket to get his 1,000th point as a Flame.

I have absolutely nothing against Alan York. Fine man and a good enough PxP announcer. Nick Pierce is on another level. I'm thinking Ian must know this. It has to be a dilemma for him.
