It is officially our bye week so we have 2 weeks until another game is played so I thought this would be a good time to grade our season up to this point and why

Offense: C
My expectations for the offense were much higher than they probably should have been but they have so many weapons and are only average at this point. I have been encouraged with the run game in recent weeks and with buckshot being so inconsistent it is a nice development.

Defense:B
Unlike the offense, my expectations for the defense were low. They have had some really low points but overall are much improved. They get pressure on the QB and the secondary has been improved as well. The most noticeable difference I have seen is better tackling. This has been an area in which I've been very frustrated with so it is nice to see improvement in that area.

Overall: B-
We have beat the teams we should and that is always great to see. Overall we look like a better team than last year but there are still plenty of areas we need work. We certainly have put ourselves in a great position to be bowl eligible.

I think we probably have the biggest gap in ncaa stats for: offense - total yards in relation to total points and defense total yards given up vs points allowed.
