Solid performance from top to bottom tonight.

Buckshot looked very good tonight and the defense really bounced back.

I'm very pleased with what I saw tonight. It is a shame only 14000 showed up...

AGG was impressive
Buffalo wasn’t as good as we thought. Louisiana was better than we thought
Hope Hickson is OK. If not we will see what Mack et al can do
Student section was great
Concession lines were non existent

Louisiana was good but not that good. The humidity killed us badly there. However everything else that PH said is basically close to my thoughts. I would add that we were establishing penalties that did not need to occur late in the half. Those boys know better than that. Overall, good performance by the boys and let them celebrate but back to improvements next week.

I was wrong and glad I was. Great game tonight for the team. I can't figure out this year Maryland blows out Cuse one week and the next lays an egg to Temple. After watching most of the BYU game today, I would say they will be the toughest team on the schedule

Lemonier is a stud.

Good to see Mack get a good number of snaps. I think he may very well be the best of a good RB group.

Students were great.

Game production this week back to some of the the previous staples not seen last week.

Something better to post about!

Need to lower the GA ticket price. Can't bring a family if cheapest ticket (for this game) was $25. Should be option for $10 tickets to fill up all those empty seats an the ends.

Post game show said 10 different receivers caught passes tonight. No turnovers for either team. Buffalo dominiated time of possession but LU easily won. And my buddy and his daughter paid $6.00 for the deluxe pulled pork nachos, and they said the cheese was steaming hot!

Meanwhile, in the distance, I could see Purple Haize chowing down on a HUGE bag of kettle corn.

That was my first Liberty game. Loved it.

It was also my first non-P5 game. Obviously it’s a smaller stadium than I’m used to and the crowd was pretty small. However - size is the only thing small potatoes about LU game day. Beautiful stadium, great student section, really nice band, good music/PA/scoreboard/etc. Awesome vibes.

Honestly, super impressed.

Having Freeze back in practice and tonight made a huge difference.

Calvert deserves a ton of credit. For all the things he did wrong the last two weeks, he corrected almost every single one of them this week. Even the little things like finding a check down receiver was better.

Popcorn was buttered.

We’ve got some really hard hitters on defense.

AGG is gonna have a lot more money next year than he does now.

Mack in the 4th looked like he was shaking the rust off.

There were some less than positives but we can talk about those tomorrow. Good win tonight.

If this team tonight is who we truly are, it will take a truly Typical Liberty game for us to not be bowl eligible.

Really fun game! The team looked good and it was great seeing HCHF ride in and take his spot on the side line. Huge improvements to concessions. I didn’t stand in line at all. It looked like they had more workers, and the quality was better than game 1. Attendance was dismal, and I was surprised considering the weather was perfect. I’m hopeful our good fortune remains with weather since last year was a washout almost every home game. Oh, and it was nice to know the songs the band was playing. I also thought having the drum line go amp up the student section at half was a nice touch. Ready for a repeat next weekend!

AGG and Lemonier are studs.

Buckshot played well without turning it over. Pass protection was significantly better, except for the second drive of the game.

Mack outperformed Hickson tonight. He deserves more carries. Even Pickett looked better than Hickson. Each had longer runs than Hickson, who had more carries than Mack and Pickett combined.

Shaa had a great game and provides us with another viable threat in the receiving corps. Was expecting Yarbrough to see more playing time. Evidently, the coaching staff plans to redshirt him. Maybe Frith can provide us with some more height on the outside, when he recovers.

Was really impressed with the play of Kei'Trel Clark. Our cornerback room has already improved significantly from the Gill era.

Tillmon led the team in tackles and should have earned more playing time.

Play calling was very conservative in the second half. Could come back to bite us against a better team.

Marketing needs to find a way to get butts in the seats, even if it means reduced ticket prices. Embarrassing that we had higher attendance numbers against the likes of Presbyterian and Jacksonville.

All in all, a great performance. I expected a much closer game. Go Flames!!!

Reminded me a bit of ODU game, Defense, Offense, Special teams all clicking and playing off of each other. We really contained them on D even though we were on the field a lot - they just didn’t have any big plays - they had several nice plays but no back breakers and our D just kept coming all night - secondary looks night and day different - kick off coverage team is a blast to watch - 11 head hunters. Offense - i think we saw level 1 of a lot more to come - a lot more wrinkles and players involved ( tight ends hint hint ) now that the light bulb has clicked for BS. Still a bit concerned with run game - Mack looked good and confident - good use of Pickett short yardage - Frankie is good but needs OL help to get him going and we just don’t have that consistently yet - but then again next stretch of games wont be near the Defensive fronts as the first 3 games. Buffalo really shot themselves in the foot all night with dumb mistakes and penalties - could have been a real tough game if they had any discipline. Great Win all the way around.

BYU alumnus and fan here. A few thoughts:

1) Each game is a new game, and both teams game plan and try to win. While the "House that Jack built" chain (Team A did X against Team B, and Team C beat Team D badly, so this is what should happen . . .) can sometimes apply to common opponents and outcomes, it often doesn't. Each week is a new week for every team, and that's what gives teams and fans hope.

2) Virginia may be tougher than BYU. I wouldn't want to play them this year; their rebuild is progressing well.

3) Each week is touch and go in BYU's rebuild. Fingers crossed! :)

Amazing how much better BC is when he isn't laying on his back. OL played much better and that was the difference in the game. I also confirmed that the OL play was a yuuuuuuge focus in practice this week. Great to see a coaching staff that is able to "coach em up" and make quick/decisive adjustments.
Gave up too many yards on the ground, but the D still played a good game. Lemonier ? is an absolute stud. Hard to handle one on one, three sacks. bunch of hurries and I only saw him lose contain twice all night.
Making progress, very good win against a goof Buffalo team. Very pleased .

Yes, I'm going to bed happy tonight. Our arch rival Utah really has our number --- even in years when we have a really good chance against them. They are a really solid program.

You'll have a good experience at the BYU game, if you're able to go.

Many BYU fans want us to move heaven and earth and get into a conference (any conference). I really enjoy independence, even if our chances of running the table are next to zero. I enjoy playing teams from all over the country, and once and a while knocking some of them off. I love every BYU game being televised because of the ESPN contract and BYUtv (our global network). That's a far cry from watching Ty Detmer on the satellite down at the church in Chicago growing up (although those were fun in a different way, and there are fond memories of that. It wasn't every Saturday . . . ;) ).

I'm really happy if we have a good showing and acquit ourselves well. I think that's going to be Liberty's first step against good teams --- looking good, even in losses. And, I'm loving imagining the powers that be freaking out if Liberty starts threatening power programs. That would be amazing, and fun to watch!

All in all the secondary played well. The past couple of seasons we all watched receivers running uncovered in space time and time again. This was not true last night.

I thought Mack showed excellent vision running the ball. he seems to know instinctively when to bounce it to the outside. I would love him to get more opportunities.

I don't know about y'all, but I felt like this game was a must-win from a morale standpoint as well. With so many high expectations to enter the season, I know going 0-2 was hard on the players, and going 0-3 may have been the nail in the coffin for our season. Good to see our guys' hard work pay off!
