WOW - this looks like the weakest recruiting class in the league. 7 of the 15 recruits 6' or under - what sport are they recruiting for Field Hockey? A kicker who has 9 careers field goals? Let's average that out - 4 years of high school - 9 Field Goals - 2.25 per season - oh yeah - this kids ready to kick in college. POLISHED. But watch out they have an Athelete on the board - you know what that means - he's not great at any particular position and his dad gives big money to the school. When they start mentioning that his team averages over 300 yards per game, you know the only thing this guy does for his team is run out water during timeouts.

Disappointing Class - The coach must of not pushed their only sellable point - The Beach. We'll maybe he did, aren't surfers short??

Easy now, Vince Young was considered an athlete coming out of high school and he did OK at the quarterback position for Texas. It generally just means the player is versatile enough to move wherever the need may be.

CCU did very well with this class. They are doing a great job of working the local schools and there is plenty of talent down in SC.

What fun is it not to rag on the other teams recruiting classes? I can't believe you pulled out the Vince Young Comparison. Vince Young is big and put up amazing numbers in High School.

Just keeping it real. Until we starting beating CCU is tough for me to run smack at them. And considering the fact that they are likely to be invited to the SoCon soon I want them to feel so comfortable in the Big South they won't want to leave.

Oh yeah, they have some cool posters who drop by our boards.

Let em go. I'm so sick of everyone protecting them and treating them different. The only reason the SoCon would want them is because they are located at Myrtle Beach. Their Athletic Program is not historically as strong as Liberty's. They will get swallowed up in the SoCon! baseball and Soccer - that's what CCU is good at. They would be the VMI of the SoCon. The BSC treats them different - just last year they agreed to play a Thursday night game here at Liberty during AD meetings, they backed-out because they didn't want to travel during the week. If it was any other school in the big south they would have made them stick to their verbal agreement - I got news for the BSC - it's Liberty that is the bread and butter of the BSC and it's Liberty they should worry about keeping.

I know I’m opening up this can AGAIN, but it's true - Liberty has been the most consistent athletic program in the BSC and has brought the most National attention to the BSC. And don't argue this again - we have more athletes in the NFL, NBA, WNBA, USA Track, and I believe Baseball - though not many in the past 5 years. Don't forget about Sid Bream, Tomlin, etc... We have one of the best distance runners to ever compete in college. We are the only school that Nationally televises Volleyball, and Men's and Women's Basketball Games to over 6.5 million people every game (Do you think that helps push the Big South Conference - you know how much the Big South pays for each one of those games and to have their name all over the broadcast - $0.00).

About the Thursday night game, I was told the reason it was changed was not because they didn't want to travel. The reason the game was a Thursday game to begin with was that hopefully someone would pick it up on tv (ESPNU, CSTV, something) and it didn't get picked up, so it moved to Saturday. I could be wrong, this is just what people at Coastal said when it happened.

TV or not we still marketed the game and they did not know we were going to lose TV at the point they were complaining.

PROTO I like you're style man! GO FLAMES!

I was impressed w/ the job CCU did w/ FB over the last 2 yrs, but there is no question in my mind with our size and resources- in a few years or less we will be the dominant force in our conf- as we should be. We have recruiting ability, media outlets and funding avenues far and away above what anyone else in the BSOUTH can offer and its about time that gets recognized.

We have the potential to be very very very good next year and for years to come.

The new board looks amazing-sorry I've been MIA for so long-no internet access + a move took up all my time.

As for the subject at hand-I think that we do have the potential to dominate our conference--but I also disagree that it's whatever if Coastal wants to leave. Good this year or not, they have been very impressive for being a 3 year old program. Obviously we're historically stronger because we've HAD a program historically. They just started and still have played very well and taken care of business which is clearly a lot less than we can say since they started. They brought the conference into the media by beating JMU, and the only thing we really got recognized for was our LOSING RECORD. I think it's beneficial for them to stay--if for nothing else but for us to dominate them :) I know we want to eventually get out of the BSC as well, but for right now we're here to stay and it does nothing but help out the conference for them to be in it. I also agree with Sly that until we put the numbers on the board that we're so very definitely going to be putting up this season-we really aren't in any position to talk down to Coastal!

Fall can't come fast enough, new recruiting class looks RIDICULOUS!

Thanks for finding your way here. Now get registered. :D

I think we need to try and maintain a strong relationship with CCU no matter where either of us ends up moving in the long run.

After pondering several different options, QB Justin Cramer (6-2 210) of Summerville has decided to join David Bennett's program at Coastal Carolina. Cramer signed a letter of intent with Coastal according to his father. Cramer had also drawn interest from Newberry, Liberty, The Citadel, Charleston Southern, Central Florida and Gardner Webb. Last season Cramer passed for 2300 yards and 27 touchdowns. "He has a very good arm," Summerville coach John McKissick said about Cramer. He's a very smart kid who excels in the classroom. He loves the game and always wants to learn." Cramer was named to the 4A all state team last season.
