I predict if ballcoach is wrong he will not respond to any questions about his lack of credibility but if he is right.....God help us.

We know the Henry family and that would be a surprise to me. Last summer, Hudson was the top rated TE in the class of 2019. His grandfather played basketball and dad played football for the Razorbacks. Older brother Hunter plays for the Chargers and was an All-American at Arkansas. His other brother is currently a LB at Arkansas. In addition to Arkansas, he was offered by a long list including Clemson, Alabama, Penn State, USC, Notre Dame, Florida, LSU, Ohio State......

There is no doubt the family would be comfortable in a Liberty setting. I don't see it happening. I agree, however, stranger things have happened.

If HCHF can swing one in 45 days, I think he can work 3 in a full year

IF we land 3 4 Star Recruits next year and 13 plus 3 Stars - that would put is between 32 ( UNC ) and 47 Boise State in current 247 class rankings ( pre signing day) - all dependent on how high of a decimal each recruit rates. I would say that is sprinting in year 2 of FBS - not crawl, walk, run and my sense of urgency for getting the schedule to match so we get picked up in next realignment would be justified. ( too little too late I am afraid because most of that will go down before we have a chance since Sept is locked up with a bunch of G5 teams through 2026). IF we landed 4 3 stars a year with the current schedule philosophy, then I will have been proven wrong on saying we need 6 P5 games to bring in the number of recruits to actually win the 3-4 P5 games a year we do have scheduled because we will be in the talent level ball park of the Carolina Schools, UVA and close enough to upset VT. ( UNC will probably elevate to a top 15 Program with Mack Brown ). A good problem to have would be mid tier P5 talent with a mainly G5 schedule - so I hope my theory is proven wrong in the near term...

What we need to also do, which isn’t mentioned here, is to expand on academic research. Right now our academia is not on the level with those P5’s. If we can work on that while improving athletically, then these schools would have more interest in playing us and not just see us as a low tier type school.

I would be as excited as anyone if we signed our first 4 star HS recruit next week, but the reality is, it may or may not make much of a difference on the field, where it counts. At Ole Miss, depending on the individual circumstances, 4 star guys were either a dime a dozen or $10,000 a pop. Some of them ended up playing behind former walk-ons. Talent and attitude mean everything and hype means nothing.

Really seems that General Booty's destiny is the NFL vs. any particular NCAA school. Thus, I think he will select the coaching staff / offense that he thinks will best prepare him reach that destination quickly as possible, i.e., going pro after his jr year. HF's offense should prepare him well. Wonder if our online school could help him graduate HS one year early so that he can reach his ultimate goal even earlier. Need to think outside the box to compete for a kid like that.

As far as the "surprise" Manson hinted at for this class, I suppose anything is possible, but I think getting a previously uncommitted 4 star at this point is a long shot. Most likely it would be one of 2 other possibilities:

A flip from a player previously committed to another school.
A 2020 recruit who reclassifies to 2019.

If i'm guessing it's one these 5

Jamious Griffin RB
Eugene Asante OLB
Jonathan Mingo WR
Charles Moore DE
Hudson Henry TE

Manson...AMIWARM here? That's a very tiny bit of inside info (1% or so) and research and fit. I know you can't so who and probably cant even confirm but i gotta lay odds on this group for several reasons.

Could be a 4 star juco as well. Chester Graves is from the same school as Elijah James who visited this weekend. I don't care who it is cuz LU getting its first 4 star in a recruiting class would be nuts!

Sounds like the kid wants to make a big reveal on signing day and everyone who knows is sworn to secrecy. I'm really curious to know the position. Please, don't be a tight end :pray

Can you imagine the stuff that would hit the fan if Jonathan Mingo flipped from Ole Miss? Looks like he would be a Liberty fit, with tons of faith based stuff on his twitter.
