With the ACC considering division realignments and many ACC fans wanting more football teams (mainly ND which will not happen) they consider quality.
I have always thought Liberty would be a great fit in the ACC. I would be putting all the energy I could into gaining access to the ACC. What a coup if they could draw WV from the Big 12 but I do not see that happening. They need to draw one more team for this to happen and who would be a struggle. We need to show the drive to excel and some nice records to be thought of IMO.
Love the zeal. But look into what all goes into the decision to bring a school into a Conference. It’s not just football or athletics. And be fore you start, Religion isn’t that big a factor. ND is Catholic. Baylor is Baptis.
Dropping in a quickie during work.
Taking market area from other members is a problem; or not due to our lack of draw <--- problem ... so many more to list but I love to dream. I really think the market thing with three schools from the same state would be the primary issue for the ACC
Another one for you to be distracted while at work - ACC presidents may really have a hard time with LU - however we have great Basketball ( UVA ) and Baseball ( SC ) respect from coaches and AD’s and ND ( while only a football schedule alignment ) is a friend. LU was offering 25m to join CUSA - add a zero ( or maybe the number is $ 100 million ) as an offering to join ACC as a full member - Co-Op UCF and make a pitch as a 2 team addition. Payout could be a chunk now, additional payment over x amount of years combined with waiving our share of earnings for x years to get to a total. That type of coin makes a lot of stink go away. As for LU - well worth it over the long haul.
