So I'm watching my poorman tv (network) and the only thing on was the trainwreck of a show, American Idol, when my better half claims she is almost certain that one of the contestants highlighted on the show was an LU student during a part of our tenure there--around 2000.

The girls name was Nikea (sp?) and, though I have limited recollection of it, she apparently sang in the gospel choir and was a very, very energetic personality and committed entertainer, according to the spouse. Unfortunately for her Hollywood aspirations, she did not get the nod from the judges.
