Well some of us didn't think we were ready to make the jump but here we are. An mid level FCS program playing FBS ball with an FCS level fan base.

What could go wrong??

The cheapest Auburn ticket is $25 for nosebleed seats. Secondary markets obviously have them cheaper but we aren’t at the level to have people reselling tickets.

For faculty with reserved seats, it's only $55 (I think) for season tickets on the Baptist side and doesn't require a Flames Club membership.

Yeah, but...

We have three kids in the "Flames Kids Club." Consequently, we are stuck on the GA East Side. I had suggested that they provide an "upgrade fee" to allow us to have tickets on the Baptist Side (I got blanks stares all around).

I hope you all will pack a lot of sunblock in those clear one gallon bags. The students say the sun is brutal over there in September.

That's such a great price. That's less than $10/game and you get the good seats.

I keep going back and forth on how much I want to spend.
This is exactly why I think the pricing is perfect. They trap you in the, well for just $5 more I can sit HERE. This is exactly the desired effect.

Small tangent. Having a bench back cannot be understated. We carry in some mossy oak insulated hunting seats and it's luxury.

Are those with or without a chairback?

That's just a seat. We're in 105 so we have the bench back anyway.

Seriously, if you can get the hunting seats that hold on to your body heat, they change the game. Mine gets stolen every time I go to the concession stand.

We do need to be careful on ticket prices.

A 4 or 5 hour road trip for a college football game isn't too bad. Heck, I am doing 8 hour trip to Army, and I am over 65. I have several 7-10 hour softball trips on my agenda this spring. If they play, I will go.

The softball team has made something of themselves and hopefully will continue developing the program. Nonetheless, the football team is the new kid on the block and don't have that commitment yet. We shall see what occurs during this season and definitely during post-season.

If football develops a winning program at FBS level, I think fans will support team all over the country. I notice in softball, when we play in other states, we have a good following. (Especially in Florida) Lots of LU fans around the country, especially in south and southeast.

Ball coach, you’re missing a very important piece to this discussion. No one said five hours was too long to come in for a game. We have said that it’s a long way to travel as a day trip with a four hour game sandwiched between. For a 3pm start, you’d need to leave by 8am and wouldn’t get home until 1am. That’s a heck of a commitment. I didn’t even do that as a college student leading the fan group. The most we traveled in a day was four hours away.

Yeah, but you're OLD. :oldhag Young married couples do stuff like this all the time, and even fly to foreign counties with kids!
Do they fly to foreign countries and back on the same day?
If young parents are doing a 5 hour out and a 5 hour back road trip in a day ....... God love em.

Why? What do you mean?
“We need to be careful on ticket prices” says the guy who brags about not paying for tickets.
Well his main #Source was notorious for passing out Free tickets to anyone with a pulse

For the record, no one has ever given me a ticket.

If my memory is correct, in years past, one could buy a GA ticket for 10.00. A family of 4 could all go to game for 40.00. Sounds like now it will cost this same family 100.00 to attend a game. A 60.00 increase might keep some away.

(This is just an example.)

Ballcoach EARNS his tickets. In the old days, we called it the barter system. :oldhag

No money changed hands, but services were provided.

Is that GA for all?
