My good friend Purple, you started this when I said Gill had not been successful as a coach in his entire career. Everyone but you, knew we were talking about a HC, but you had to make it into a pissing contest and say he was successful as an assistant coach, player, Heisman Trophy 4th place winner etc.
It remains factual that Gill has not been a successful as a coach anywhere, (and just for you, I will stipulate HC), including his stay at LU. Hopefully you now have come around to realize that, long after 99% of the rest of us have. It's ok to be a little slow. You have an excuse, you went to WVU.

You sir are apparently too senile to remember what your original quote actually was. Since it was pointed out that you were in error you have since moved the definition to Coach and Head Coach. Since you have done that I have not once brought up anything to do with his playing career. I have focused entirely on the coaching aspect. It is you have continually brought up his Heisman accomplishment in a snide and condescending fashion. Now you have taken it another level by mocking his continued ability to give God the Glory in every situation whether it’s the biggest wins in LU history or what may be his last game. That he can show that type of strength of courage is something that should be lauded, not belittled.
You are basically a very unpleasant individual who seems to find great self worth in tearing down the achievements of others. Enjoy your Kingdom and good day sir

If my memory is correct, we have gone backwards as a football program since beating JMU in playoffs, except for the win over Baylor. We never used that playoff win to elevate program.

We beat some teams we should have beaten, and lost to a lot of teams we should not have lost to.

Yngwie by his own admission doesn’t play well with others. He’d probably be a good QB coach. Sort of left to himself to work with the guys on speed a creativity.

There aren’t a “ton” of good football coaches to begin with, let alone ones with sincere faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. BYD, I have to disagree. Therefore, I don’t think the hiring of a football coach at LU will ever be an easy thing. And we’ve just made it harder by jumping up to FBS.

I have no idea of the relationship any of you all have with TG but I was around the man for 3 years in varying situations and he came across to me as arrogant and not friendly at all. This is just my experiences and my opinion from being around the man, yours may be completely different . All I will say is most people seem to act and speak differently when a microphone or camera is is in the vicinity. I have no ill will for the man and don't have any control over what happens so I won't lose any sleep either way. The man has made plenty of money over the years and will land on his feet if he gets fired. The guys further down the trough will feel the sting unfortunately. I will pull for LU regardless of who's driving the bus, not sure there is any other option as a fan.

I have had some of the same experiences. However, I really believe it is due to lack of confidence in a social setting(s). Regardless, I respect your opinion. I believe he is a good man at his core and hope that he can land somewhere within the university.

Thanks for posting this willflop, puts things into perspective of how GOOD our offense has been this year and how BAD the defense has been.

Yea, at least on paper. But like the CSU loss yesterday, our offensive ranking is misleading. There have been too many games where it's just been completely shut down, or shut down for most of the game. Then we make late surges to pad the stats when the game is already lost (KSU, for example). Seems like we are ranked 1 against half our teams, then ranked 90th against the other half.

So I know it’s HIGHLY unlikely but worth noting. Jim Mora was let go at UCLA today. His buyout is 12 Million which UCLA will have to pay him for a few years. A buyout like that could help us land a coach like that. If a guy like Kiffen can end up at FAU then you never know. I have no idea if he’s a Christian though.
