I have to admit, I’m pulling for his teammate Elliott Sadler to win the championship. He’sfrom my hometown and a family friend. A 1-2 finish would be pretty sweet though.

Thought so...I remember the Sadlers are Emporia and the Burtons are South Boston (and of course Ricky Rudd, my favorite driver, from Chesapeake)

And Denny Hamlin from Chesterfield.

I met Rudd at Southampton Motor Speedway in the early 00’s when his nephew Jason was running a late model. Pretty cool dude to hang out and talk with a few of us a while.

I was an Earnhardt fan as well. These days I don’t have one main driver as much but have several I like to pull for.

Looks like a Jr Motorsports team will win the championship. The only non-JRM team in the hunt has big issues and now out of contention barring something crazy.

LU got a lot of PR today at Homestead. TV had lengthy post race show. LU uniforms all over the screen. I saw Jerry Jr. In Victory Lane. Dale Earnhardt Jr. Was wearing LU cap.

Good stuff! Going to be fun watching him in the Cup series next year. Thinking he'll get the 24 into victory lane. That car is due.
