Jose will cause some wind and rain up here in New England, but overall will be less severe than a Nor'Easter.

Maria, on the other hand, is a Category 4 that is going to cause lots of trouble for islands already devastated by Irma, and looks to make a direct hit on Puerto Rico and could impact SC this weekend.

The DR looks like it is going to be signiciantly impacted. It would be great t hear from Olldflame at some point.
