I'm really really impressed. I think these schedules will truly help on the recruiting trail. These are some Hallmark games that could really help recruiting in VA. UVA in 18 and 19?! ODU out of the gate? Maybe we can tap into the 757 and get the Vicks and Taylor's of the future.

SEC in the bill is major. That's a massive deal. Once we get all of the scheduling "firsts" out of the way, it makes it easier to keep it up.

What games would those be? It's a solid schedule but nothing in 2018 is college game day worthy.

Kudos for getting a schedule, couldn't have been easy. A real credit to IM and MG. However, the New Mexico State thing is kind of goofy. Two programs that can't get enough people to come to their home venue so they agree to an unprecedented same season home & home. Smacks of Kansas 8 man football in towns not big enough to field a regular team. Guess we have to crawl before we walk. I think the Ole Miss rumors are just that, rumors.

Wow. really generous of UVA to only make us wait 8 years for the return game after playing them twice up there.

If you have leverage, use it. There's no benefit to them to visit LU any earlier.

This is why I'll remain skeptical about some of these 2 for 1 games, where the 1 is after the 2. A lot of these contracts fall apart (this is typical for all scheduling agreements). Once we've played the 2 away games, I'm not sure what would prohibit the other school from just simply canceling the contract or postponing forever (see JMU).

Getting @potus talk about liberty football and announce schedule is marketing and recruiting genius. No other strategy could have generated that kind of program or brand exposure for a program that is currently so mediocre. If TG and crew doesn't get this program in gear quickly, he'll be canned (or at least should be) before next season is over (even faster if something like the VT o-line debacle happens again)

Another forum where people exhibit their insecurities. What is crazy is that one Penn State fan is bashing McCaw when Penn St. had an even worst incident that is still in the works today. Of course their incidents are okay because that's how these ignorant people think(if you call that thinking).

Side note: Didn't Penn state reestablished Joe Paterno's statue near happy valley when he knew about what Sandusky was doing and turn the other way(what was exposed at least)?

The SBC is either way too obsessed with LU or we have LU fans way too obsessed with the SBC. I was in the loop when I had a friend posting there from JMU but they left and now I neither known or care. Would have been an absolutely horrible move to go SBC

I’m really impressed with the schedule that the AD & company was able to put together within a short period of time. The other schools that stepped up to play us, has now made it “acceptable” for other schools to book us in the future, and for us to attract better athletes (hopefully a winning coach as well). I was just at Michie Stadium in West Point for their spring game this past April, so I will definitely be there again in 2018. Also my friend who back in the day, placed safety at Rutgers is gonna pull his hair out when he finds out we’re playing his school…can’t wait.
