So are we talking ladies at the retirement home, middle aged choir ladies, LU girls, or Brookville/JF/EC Glass girls?

I gotta write a four-page book report on the dumbest book I've ever read at some point today. I just don't feel like doing it now.

SJ--we are 16 pages into a thread about why we should keep Dunton. After last night, this is about as dumb of a thread title as we can have. Do a report on this.

This thread's more entertaining than that book. It was just plain dumb.

I think that most of the preseason prognostications had LU finishing at best fourth or fifth in the conference. I'm wondering if Barber and Falwell's expectations for this season were to such a high degree that Dunton's seat is as hot as some here imagine it to be? My guess would be that next year would be more definitive for Dunton and this team because there is a much more realistic chance of winning the Big South. Next year we'll have a senior backcourt with a true point gaurd and floor leader in Bannister and a big-time player at the two in Brewington. Also, Smith at the three, a 7'1 Nigerian in the low post, and Mclean at the four. We'll have Jenkins, Baker, Holland and Porter, hopefully Winters, and hopefully that new 6'6 prep guy. Just my opinion, but that is where I think Dunton stands at the moment, unless of course this team goes completely belly-up and we end up sixth or worse in the conference.

My guess is that we'll could end up fourth with a .500 conference record and hopefully peaking at conference tourney time. If can start winning and can grab the three seed, we wouldn't have to see Winthrop until the title game, assuming we win a couple in the tourney. Let's see how the next three on the road turn out. If LU is going to pull out of this it will most likely happen during this stretch, especially since we were so completely exposed on Saturday. Let's see what corrections are made and if this season is still salvagible.

What's your excuse gonna be next year? We're not the Cubs. How many times do we have to wait til next year?

I think they'll make the change eventually if things don't turn around. It just may be a different time table then some here on the board may have.

Having to "rebuild" again because RD had to replace Larry Blair, the "best basketball player in LU's history!"

Coach ranks 180 out of 196 in terms of winning percentage among Division I coaches (min 5 years).

Coach ranks 189 out of 196 in number of wins among Division I coaches (min 5 years).

His overall record is 63-85 and I think that's before the season started. That's an average of a 12-17 record every year.

We've got High Point, Coastal, and Chaz Sou., all away, coming up in the next week. They're a combined 5-4. We need to win at least two of three if we want to have a shot at home field when it comes to tourney time, bottom line.

And then, of course, you can't forget that "losers of 19 straight road games" stat.

UNCA brought it to 20 if I'm not mistaken.
