according to the master plan the school of Engineering should be next once it's built
New "auto dealership management curriculum". That's just a really odd program to add.
Meh, UCF has a theme park management curriculum, other schools (like JMU) have hotel management curriculums, why not auto dealership management?

I know its not really part of the expansion but talk among the students is that they're going to abolish the curfew on weekends and extend it on the weekdays. again talk among the students right now. I did hear that the democrat club is in the process of getting reinstated

crazy times at Liberty

Tune in tomorrow for Fox News Sunday's Christmas Day program, to see a special message from Liberty University President Jerry Falwell. President Falwell will also be commenting on Liberty University's growth and many other national issues. That's at 2pm and 10pm EDT on the Fox News Channel. You can also watch it on your local Fox affiliate on Sunday morning.

This is just me but wouldn't Jonathon be a more appropriate person to speak on Christmas?

Update on the new indoor track facility. Guys, I can't overstate how amazing this place is going to be. The track itself is a huge draw, but the thought that was put into the seating and especially the warmup and team areas is beyond anything I have seen in the sport.

I know someone who snuck in there recently. The whole facility was amazing and top of the line

New engineering and research facility coming soon.

Next will probably be the school of health sciences or the school of communication.
That will be pretty awesome. Broadening the Academic base isn't a bad thing.

This would be good, because that business park has been a dud. It's been open for years with no development, just this CAER facility and a rescue squad.

Will this be something like VA Tech has with Danville's Institute for Advanced Learning and Research . It seems to be paying off for Southside VA.
The Institute for Advanced Learning and Research (IALR) partners with state and private higher education institutions to address three needs: preparing a core economy workforce for the future, meeting current employer needs, and expanding access to higher education opportunities.

Through the IALR's research centers, top-notch Virginia Tech faculty are locating to Southside Virginia to conduct research in the fields of unmanned systems, high value horticulture and forestry, and motorsports engineering. IALR research centers are designed to conduct cutting-edge research in their specialty fields, as well as attracting small and mid-sized companies who desire access to the expertise they offer. Additionally, each research center provides educational opportunities

Simplimatic Automation also has a facility there, but I agree that the level of development has been disappointing. Hopefully development of the CAER/LU facility will help change that.

Id love to see the SOC get its own building...maybe allow for expansion of programs too (like a specialization in sports media or something)

I would like to see it happen too. It's one of libertys best programs. I know there was talk earlier that it's going to have its own academic building and with the business school moving to replace the old religion building and the engineering/research facility in Bedford...it leaves space for a couple academic buildings in the south quad

Id love to have a setup similar to what I had when I was working at ESPNinVA in Forest with three different control studios so that we could have three totally different broadcasts going simultaneously

I'm not sure where else they physically could have put it. That thing is massive. Plus, and I LOVE this, the outside community is going to have access to it and this gives it ample parking ingress and egress

Where would they put it? It is a massive facility, and would take up quite a bit of prime land if it were on main campus. Since it isn't something that a majority of students will be participating in, I think it was a great move. JLFJR and his team has done a great job of moving the campus to a "walking campus" and figuring out how to move traffic around. It will also be much easier to access once the new on/off ramps are finished!

I found this interesting. I don't know if this was in the works or if this had any correlation with the FBS move (I tend to believe LU embracing research). but I've been told that Liberty is scrapping the History of Life course. The History of Life course has been the controversial course regarding the biology and academic programs at Liberty that a lot of people and the elites had problems with regarding Liberty. Its not scrapped all together but its not being required for all students to take. All the creationism classes is being moved from the science department to the theology/religion department. Ministry and divinity students will be required to take classes. We know the misconceptions regarding LU and science and this will more than likely won't change any haters minds but interesting to see the direction they are heading. Hopefully academic freedom is embraced next.

Could you expand on this? Is LU moving away from their literal 6 Day creation stance? Moving it from Science to Religion certainly seems so. I wonder if they are trying to slip this one in under the radar. It Willie certainly cause a stir if they were
