That in and of itself is an indictment of where we are as a program. We shouldn't be sweating games out vs Monmouth, PC, and G-W.
That sums up Liberty athletics.

CSU is deserving of a top 10 - top 15 ranking. Liberty will not get a first round bye, so polls are meaningless for the Flames.
If we were to win out and finish 8-3, with the only 3 losses to FBS teams and JSU, a bye is not out of the question We would have wins over Coastal and CSU, who will both likely be ranked, and we would be on a 7 game win streak "Style points" on some of those wins could be helpful A tough task, but certainly not impossible
No style points in a 30 point home loss. Liberty will not be a top 10 team even if we win out - and we should win out.

Right now I don't see us beating Chucky or Coastal.

But either way, that's my point. We're already looking ahead.

OK , someone with administrative "powers" has been going back and editing all my posts in this thread Please don't do that

Either that, or someone has gotten ahold of my login information Either way, not cool

If the person who either has admin powers or somehow got my login info and is posting and editing posts under my username will PM me, I would like to get this straightened out I can take a joke, but it needs to stop It is someone who is a regular on the board, or at least is familiar with Liberty football Virtually every post I made on this thread has been altered

The above post was modified from what I wrote originally Nice job actually, but it really does need to stop

We SHOULD beat Monmouth this week I think we can all agree on that.

The mindset of this bunch should be that we need to be 1-0 every week from here on out(although CCU does not count toward the conference). That sounds obvious I know, but I agree with olldflame that we cannot overlook anyone. I think we will be favored in every game leading up to the CSU matchup in Williams Stadium, but that does not mean we can afford to go into these games on autopilot.

I don't think our team or coaches will make the mistake of "overlooking" any opponent. I don't......think....they.....will....

Buckshot, Probert, and the other hand-full of freshmen are in this thing to make some points, and I think others are too. It would seem they are starting to feel some confidence and the name they make for themselves for the future starts this year....with every Saturday. I also think HCTG knows the eyes are a little more fixed on him and his staff this year. Any loss (just one) like last year (GW and MU) will probably end the PO hopes and their tenure at LU. I feel sure the coaching staff is taking EVERY game seriously and that is resonating with the team.

With last week's road win; I think there is a small spark emerging in the fan-base's hopes. I think the fans can and will be re-energized if we play consistently like we did last week.

I think there is a lot of truth to this actually. The KSU game on the road was a telling game for what kind of team we are and will be this season. A lot of fans were skeptical, and rightfully so still are, about the success the team can have this year. The KSU game on the road was traditionally one Liberty would find a way to lose, but they found a way to win. If the next 3 weeks result in blowouts (as they should), then you could be looking at a packed house and a re-energized fan base for the CSU game.
