They were 9-2 last year, and beat Delaware on the road their first game of the season last year. This is their first game of the season. I would take Jacksonville +20.5. New Coach, unfamiliar systems.
The 50+ freshman they have on the roster is mind blowing.

R i, If they run what Shields has run at Lenoir-Rhyne and given that he started at West Point...I think we ought to be at least a little familiar with the triple option given that we have faced that particular style quite a few times in the last 4 seasons

Jonathan Carone wrote:Another contradiction from yesterday:

Gill said the problems at Tech were on the QB and the WRs.

Dailey said the problems were all on the QB.
Damien posted the full quote from Dailey this morning. Here are the two quotes back to back:

Gill: "They [the WRs] had some misreads on some things. sometimes you look at it and it was the QB's fault. it wasnt necessarily the QBs fault. some of it was the receivers fault. It was a little bit of both, a little bit of the quarterback and some also the receivers as far as not seeing the signals and different things of that nature."

Dailey: "I don’t think there were any real issues with the receivers. I think those guys did a good job performing."

Again, this post is just to track the pattern of contradictions between head coach and coordinators.

So they both agree the QB was an issue.

WTF corbin Jackson? was this one of our "violation of team rules" from last week?

Corbin Jackson started at the spur last year and was listed as the starter at SS at the start of Fall camp, but he has just been beaten out by better players Brandon Tillmon is going to be very special Not sure who the other one is that has moved ahead of him Possibly Rion Davis This is NOT a bad thing

Cam Jackson is the one suspended, but he was a push with Alpha Jallah for the starting job before that happened Not sure about this situation, but Jallah is experienced and really good One of our most explosive athletes, as evidenced by the fact we have him back there on kickoff returns

Not good for depth at the position

At SS the guy who was the starter is now 3rd string That's great depth I honestly don't know who is going to be Jallah's backup at FS

Lucas Irons and Corbin Jackson have been suspended for tonight's game for a violation of team policy.

Cam Jackson and Kyle Carrington's suspensions have been labeled "indefinite."

David King is listed as 2nd string at both LB spots.
Tillmon is starter at SS with no backup listed.
McGinty is starter at SPUR with Rion Davis listed as backup.
Jalloh is starter at FS with Elijah Benton listed as backup.

I completely agree with you on this. Both have to improve and I would love to see the RBs show out as well. Hopefully Probert will have the chance to kick a few FGs as well. Experience for him is vital as we move on in the season.
I mean... I'm no prophet, but I'm darn close. Maybe Forbidden will start listening to me a little more?

I am looking for >60%, 225+ yards and 2+ TDs. Does it truly matter if it's on screens and short passes? No, not at all. If that's the way the offense is supposed to be run, then great. If it's efficient and effective, who cares how points are put on the board?

Edit: efficiency and accuracy are more important than stat stuffers for this game.
Glad Masha listened to me this week. I take full credit. Side note, he didn't need screens to display his accuracy - the deep ball looked beautiful this week.
