Well done! A little shaky on the press break but outstanding foul shooting. Love how far this team has come.

This was a great win. There were many times in the 2nd half where it looked like Winthrop was making their run and the guys answers every single time. So many guys contributed on both ends of the floor.

Just a great win. This just feels weird. Haha

Agreed. It was very nice to see this type of game from him.

LET'S GO!!!! I don't think anyone could have seen this coming. Look at the impact a different coaching staff can make on a team. Huge credit to the players putting in the work!

w00t!

Wanted to go down the hill, but being a school night it wasn't convenient. Watched in on the telly... The first 5 minutes were excruciating... no audio, no graphics.

Great win. Johnson is a regular flopper. We would have held a 15 point lead if he didn't get all those crap calls. We showed a new way to win tonight. If we can keep up the shooting were there with anyone.

He must have dropped his head and bull rushed to the basket 15 times in the 2nd half.

Coach RMK said his favorite team to watch is the Warriors because anyone can go for 20 any night and they move the ball well. Im pretty sure thats why hes got the Flames moving the ball to find open shooters.

Great game!

A year? Try a month...this time in January we lost our 12th in a row and talk of "trust the process " and low expectations dominated. Now we have won 5 in a row, 7 of 9 (one of those losses in Rock Hill) and a possible top 4 seed

Got to watch the team in person tonight. Maxwell looks healthy and confident again. He was impressive against Winthrop trio of bigs. He got them all in foul trouble. Dawson really is the glue that holds all the piece together. Whenever we get in trouble we look to Dawson. We actually have a well built albeit shallow talent pool. Last point. I find it awfully interesting that we've stayed almost completely healthy this year despite playing only 8 guys and there playing a ton of minutes in a rigorous defense. I think the new conditioning coach has to be playing a role in that. Layer coached teams were constantly injured.

And considering most people were guessing about 5-8 wins this year, that makes me pretty darn ecstatic.

I was bored and being a bit sarcastic. I didn't expect the team to get to 10 wins. Everyone looked great tonight. As long as McKay is in for the long term, this could be really special.

You know what else is impressive? Not only was Winthrop on a 7 game win streak, but they won all those games by double digits if I'm not mistaken. The Eagles were rolling and we still handled them! Such a fun team to watch. Congrats to the guys.

Impressive performance by the Flames last night. I'm not sure I ever went on record w/ this earlier in the year, but there was a time where I thought LU would be lucky to win even 1 conference game. I just didn't see any depth/experience on the roster, and I didn't really know just how good any of the guys on the roster really were. I read what you guys were saying about Dawson in practice, but I've grown so skeptical about transfers being able to really make a huge impact, especially right away. But he gives the Flames the versatile scoring threat that the team needed, which then opens the floor up for guys to get good looks from three. It's amazing that with 6 games left in the season that LU has a legit shot at a bye and is only a game and a half out of 1st place.

Thanks for the word, WEF. We know how good the Eagles are and we are just beginning to catch a glimpse of how good we can be. I don't think anybody wants either of us in their side of the bracket in the tourney.

Really disappointed in the turnout last night for a big game. We averaged probably another 2000 when Doc was there. Even in the beginning Jerry Jr. and Becky would show up and the crowds were still pretty good. Haven't seen him in at least 3 years or so yet we have a "presidential sweet" that stays empty. If LU want to fill up the Vines have Sparky lead the "L-U" chant at the beginning of the game and at crucial times of the game, find Jerry Jr. a seat to inspire the kids to show up, or even bring back Jerry Sr (per weekend at Bernie's), anything to get the kids off the machines and out of the dorms. We have twice as many residential students and yet half the crowd as we did 10 years ago. Marketing, the AD and the Administration need to be engaged in getting the support back into the vVines. I felt bad for the team last night as they played their heart out for 40 minutes against a very good and very hot first place Winthrop and there were a lot of MIAs. We should never have less than 5K students at the game and add in the 2K community patrons we should always appear fairly full. Just think how the kids would play then and how that would add to recruiting et al. IMHO.

Truth be told, attending the game had fallen completely out of the campus culture during the last few years of disappointment. You can't change a culture overnight, but the buzz off of last night's victory certainly should help.
