NEXT YEAR: So much for sneaking up on anyone: Charleston Southern should be the Big South's heavy favorite in 2016. The Chanticleers are moving on up, Liberty's stars on both sides of the ball (Uzowihe and quarterback Josh Woodrum) are moving on, and Kennesaw State is probably a year away from moving into conference title contention. Eight of the Buccaneers' 11 defensive starters are back, meaning the conference's new king should reign for another year.

Yeah, CSU has one good year and now stakes claim to the BSC's best team. I like our chances in The Bill next year. I am sure they will be picked #1 pre-season favorite, but so was CCU last year and the year before that.

Just shows LU's inconsistent level of play, very disrespectful that with CCU leaving LU still cant and wont be considered the best in the conference. SMH

Hey, it is for one year. We will not be favored because we lost or QB who started for 4 years, don't know who will replace him and also our best defensive player. In addition, CSU will be ranked #1 in the BSC (rightly so) and nationally based upon what they did last year. I hate the national polls for that. It was clear after the first two weeks last year that CCU was not a top 10 team, but they were up there none the less, based on the past. The games still have to be played. I wouldn't trade our long-term circumstances for CSU's for anything.

Its called RECOGNITION, and they have more of it than we do, and that's with EVERYTHING LU has and can bring to the table. Im pretty sure LU does not want to be considered 2nd best or 2nd rate, but the ARE. PERIOD.

Is this where you hit me with the good things come to those who wait, theory? I said two years ago watch out for Monmouth because once they could match schollies and bring in a few more bodies they would be decent, Oh yea only against LU were they decent. Now you have KSU on the horizon and the same can be said for them too.

It is all cyclical. CSU is up at the moment just as we were a few years ago. The only question is to how long it takes us to return to the top. But you are correct in assessing the potential of Monmouth and I would add Kennesaw State as well.
