I believe the argument Josh was trying to make is that if we win out we will deserve an at large bid. IMHO the odds against that are pretty long, but not as long as getting the BSC autobid with 2 losses.

I agree with you. I disagree with him when he says we're going to the playoffs because there's no way a four-loss team, two of them coming at the hands of Gardner-Webb and Monmouth, is getting an at-large bid.

Those are 2 bad losses, and they are not going away. On the other hand, if we were to win out, we would have 4 quality wins against ranked FCS and an FBS. Add to that the fact that we would have finished the season beating a Coastal team that will probably be ranked no worse than 3rd on national TV, and I would say it is possible.

I'd like to think so. I'm still rooting for them, but why do they always have to make things so dramatic?

Maybe he should have been a senior leader and had his team focused the last 2 weeks. As much as we gripe on Gill, it is also a captains job as well. Honestly he and this team have it 10x easier than most teams across this country. Just go onto wvu's message board right now and see what the fans think of skyler howard and dana holgorson or the poor kicker from Michigan getting death threats. If they cant handle the pressure, Gill, or Liberty football then forget going fbs because things will only be amplified. This is my tenth year following the team and I can't think of any football player who has been more unlikable than him. He's almost to Kyle Ohman status.

The thing is were not rooting on us to lose but we are disgusted in the play of the team and the leadership. I think it was you that said he was ragging on his own team in an interview disrespecting them yet gets mad at us for discussing our (opinions) of how things are going right now. Any fanbase is going to expect more out of a 4 year starting team captain qb that apprently was NFL caliber. If he cant take it now, the nfl will chew him up and spit him out.

This is me being serious and not goofing around: if we didn't care, we wouldn't comment. He's showing how shallow his mental make up is by even commenting, much less telling fans to keep their mouths shut. Manson and Duke are fans who took their time and money to start a website to discuss Liberty. They're not journalists working at this for a living. They're fans with a platform. For the four year starting quarterback, three year captain to publicly take unprovoked shots at fans for their opinions is much more out of line than anything Flames Nation has said or done. We are starting to see why some in the program were glad he was out against Coastal last year. The dude's a cancer.

After reading some of the posts on this board I can see why he doesn't like us. He does come off a little strong but it is clear he loves his team and is willing to fight for them. I personally don't see anything wrong with that. It's very easy to anonymously critique and criticize someone on a message board. If they do somehow manage to make it into the playoffs (which is highly unlikely) the ones talking so much crap about Woodrum and the team will be the first ones to say how they "knew we could do it" or "we always believed." A lot of bandwagon fans on this message board that's for sure. But hey we're all entitled to our own opinions.
