We have been in a severe drought down here all summer, and we only got 3.2" total out of that system that drowned South Carolina last weekend. If it does rain, it won't last long. At least with the field turf we don't have to worry about the field becoming a mudhole like the old days.

Spangler is a cool little stadium. The facilities inside are pretty nice and they stock their press box with cheerwine and sun drop. Which is why it was my favorite road trip. however, that field (if it hasn't improved the drainage since 08) is going to be a mud pit.

Very nice turf in fact. The summer they put it in, it was neat to drive by and watch them put the drainage in under it....amazing stuff.

Don't forget Bridges BBQ Lodge in Shelby on US 74 on your way in if you need a bite. Some of the best 'cue in the state.

So disappointed with this news! Was totally assuming that either ESPN3 and/or LFSN would stream the game as they normally do. Any speculation as to why? Was this a recent decision? I thought for sure when the schedule came out that ESPN3 was listed for the game (but could be wrong).

Can the game be purchased and watched thru the Big South or G-W?

ASN is on DirecTv in the regional sports channels (the 600"s). You may or may not have access to it. You can also go on ASN website and there is a lineup of local affiliates.

I really wish they would have kept things on the Liberty channel. I have finally seen a few games on the other channel here in Lynchburg but several times it said on the info. screen that the game was supposed to be on but wasn't.
