Just saw that GASO threw 4 INTs... their QB was 2-13. We win if we control the clock and don't commit TOs like we did against NCST and UNC.

Liberty - 34
WVU - 33

Passing - 313

That's my sentiment as well LUnPretty...if we can keep from having the kind of sequence like we did against UNC last year, we definitely can be competitive in this one

61 yards passing.

I'm watching taped delay of GSU@WVU game now. WVU D is scary good.
This very defense was the worst in the big 12 in 2012. They've come a long way and have worked hard to overcome that history. Tony Gibson, our defensive coordinator has done an excellent job with these guys and switched to the 3-3-5 last year, and it's paying off. They will be a force to be reconed with in the Big 12 this year. Anyway, I'm looking forward to a good game. My prediction: WVU 55 - Liberty 17

LOL, I can just about promise you that WV is not even HALF as good as what you guys are trying to give them credit for. Since when has a HCTG when somewhere and basically gotten manhandled as MOST of you are claiming. And I truly believe this is what you feel not some reverse psych stuff in saying one thing meaning another. They may be better and even win (which i think as well) but to go out there and basically lay an egg, NAH, not buying it.

And I do believe if we find another compliment to Petey this week and not dink and dunk to Parker, we will start to shred the WVU secondary. That 3-3-5 stack does have a few more holes and we have a few athletes to penetrate it (pardon the pun) that in turn will open up run lanes for the backs. The key for me is to find more help for Petey, so he won't have to take as many shots as will, because trust me they are going to take some shots at him.

The biggest issue with WVU defense in the past has been big powerful running backs attacking the line. It has frustrated me for years. Their LB's and secondary are very good. IMO LU's game plan should be a power running one. Actually I'd love to see LU try to shoot it out because it would be more entertaining but that would get ugly for LU

I see a mismatch when we go trips and that could leave one of their backers one on one with DJ that could potentially cause them some problems. hopefully we slam them with trips so they have to adjust and take advantage of the 1/1 matchup there, and it could also leave there backside corner M/M on one of our WR's

WVU has shown they can handle 1/1 match ups and shown its hard to get 1/1 with them. What they haven't shown is the ability to stop a power running game

I agree but we don't have AA anymore to accommodate that wish, lol, we have 2 backs both under 200 so its gonna have to be some sort of hybrid type deal, imo Dez looked a lot better running down hill N/S than when he went E/W and I believe that WV will have the speed to not let him turn the corner. So our next back in the rotation is about 205/10 in Macon so going to have to really be patient and bang and then get the mismatch if possible

And therein lies our problem. We only need 3 yards and a cloud of dust

I think one thing being overlooked is Woodrum's intelligent decision making with the ball. Add in the fact that it might be raining quite a bit during the game and it will probably be hard to move the ball downfield for both offenses. This works in liberty's favor as they've shown they can play ball control. Abner and Rice will have to have huge games. I honestly think this game will be closer than expected, with WVU adding a cushion late in the game.

Liberty 14
WVU 31

Those rosters are old. Des Rice was about 195 when he was a freshman. He is up near 215 now. I remember an article posted by Lang saying he was around 210 before the injury. I agree though he will be more effective running in between the tackles with Abner complimenting him on the outside. Gonna need to get Woodrum and Peterson going if we are going to stand a chance in this one.

OMG, why are some of you guys just so quick to pack it in and bend over for WVU. They put there pants on the same way we do. The thing is I can respect a loss as long as you compete. I without being GOD or nothing definitely feel we will score double digit points. Just because they beat the hell out of Georgia Southern doesn't mean the same thing happens with us. Look at Montana played up for NDSU (win) and last week back to normal loss. I am not saying we will win by any stretch but some of you cats just bend over so easy and are willing to accept defeat. You never know what can happen who will step up and show out. I for one think #8 Joseph or someone in there secondary could get tossed due to the fact that they take an unnecessary shot on one of our receivers, while trying to be a hero. Like I said if someone, anyone else steps up to help take some pressure off of Petey then that will make them have to play a little bit more honest. If we go in trying to make Petey our savior then YES, it will get ugly. But I KNOW we have a cpl Ballers on the squad who are not built to tap out. PETEY, DJ, PARKER, BURGESS, JOSH, and on Defense, the thing is yes we may be young to a degree but that may also play into our favor as to them its just another ftball game, and to others they have all played in big games before anyways... AJ, Dexter, O'Grady, Chima

In past few years we have always played the FBS schools better than most thought we would. The last time we went to WVA, I thought WV had a better team than they have now. Also LU is better now than then.

See what I mean, lol. I just was never apart of giving a team so much credit as to KNOW going in that I was just gonna have to accept what they were doing, not the way I was taught or do my teaching. If everyone does there 1/11 we will be ok. Im not saying we win im saying we will be ok
