Yeah.
With or without the accompanying organ?

I think it will be awhile before the tower is complete.

Yes because that's what college students want to hear at football games, songs that are older than our grandparents that we most likely don't know the words to. Yeah I think I'll stick with the strange mix of Taylor Swift, Fall Out Boy, AC/DC and Lecrae.

But Kayne can go.

They did play the Nae Nae by Silento too. That was hilarious. FYI - if you want to be on tv, sit at about the 5th row or down on the 15yd line on the North end of the Baptist side. Mike Brown was sitting a few seats over from me. Great seats for GA...

In my youthful days we use to sing vulgar songs at the party after rugby matches. When I became a Christian I was astonished that ruggers had adopted the tunes from the great hymns of the faith as the basis for their songs. Later I learned that it was the Reformers who adapted the tunes from the pubs & bars for their hymns...ironic.

Also noticed the absence of the Christian flag (well, after my wife pointed it out). Puzzled by that as well as some of the music.

Right. Because that's why they have a script that is detailed down to the second about what to play when. No one putting any thought into that at all.

You may not like things, but don't insult them when you know nothing about them.

yeaaaa I could have told you that wasn't the case but Jon already did it for me. Game day operations is ridiculous when you take into account everything going on in that stadium. From the video board, music, equipment(self promo) and grounds crews to the fan experience people its incredible to stand back and watch. Because i've work in these atmospheres on a regular basis i can't help but watch a football game and notice the little things going on outside the lines that make the whole thing go.

I guess I used the wrong choice of words: "very little thought". I know they are scripted down to the second. I have seen the "book" before that the PA guy uses. It's very detailed as to what to say and when to say it.
I guess the words "poor prior planning" would have been better. The focus sometimes seems to be more on music than football.

The focus is on keeping a growing number of adults with ADD entertained throughout the growing number of media TOs. Just give it a rest BC. Every university under the sun has some sort of entertainment during their breaks now to keep their crowd engaged. I watched the VT game on ESPN3's Overhead cam, which does not have media breaks / TO's. It's just a live shot of the stadium all game and during EVERY TO there is music playing. It's just the way it works now.

I think they have changed the flags for about the past 10 years on gameday.

Many times there are red LU flags up there...but on Game day, don't they change it and have one flag for each of the Big South Conference teams? That's what I remember, but I didn't notice...I never even noticed where the Christian flag was at.

If you actually care about a "Christian" flag, I can't help you.

What's a rotary phone???? :P

(I kid, I kid)

Back on topic, the more I think about it, the only time I ever remember seeing the Christian flag being flown outside on campus was in the courtyard behind DeMoss.
