If we wanted to do something like this, we should've worked with the cheerleaders to incorporate them into the overall environment instead of having them stand on the sidelines yelling cheers that no one else will ever do with them.
Having people in crazy costumes with their tongue sticking out isn't going to work because people won't take them seriously.
Back in 2009, The LUnatics were asked by the alumni association to spread throughout the crowd during a basketball game vs VMI to help get the crowd more involved. What resulted was Liberty fans yelling at us to get out of the way, to sit down, to stop cheering, and more. I know football is different than basketball, but I vividly remember that game.
Lastly, and I know this is a snap judgment based off one picture on Twitter, but at first glance of this group, they don't look like a group I'd want to follow. The overalls look cheesy. The hats are embarrassing. And the "enthusiasm" doesn't seem authentic. There's a way to look professional and enthusiastic at the same time, and it's now dressing like clowns.
I love the idea of spreading people through the stands.
I don't love the execution.
