It should be pointed out that when at sea, a flag can be flown higher than the US flag to signal that a religous ceremony is underway on-board. Upon conclusion, the flags should be returned to their proper height.

As for Sly's thinking the Texas flag is somehow special, let that serve as a warning to the rest of the board: Stay away from the orange Kool Aid, it'll make thee drunker than a sailor in a whore house and higher than Dorothy in a poppy field.

That's correct. But just because you can, doesn't mean that you should.

I was on campus today and saw the new roundabout, which is nearing completion: it's a round piece of concrete with a yellow stripe around it. I was told that a big LU logo will go on top of the roundabout.

They are also doing a lot of landscaping around the new science building, which really dresses up the place.

Liberty’s new student center, which is scheduled to open next fall, will also offer six new dining venues, including Garbanzo’s (Mediterranean), Star Ginger (Asian), UFood Grill (hamburgers), The Grid Marketplace (a convenience store concept), Woodfire Pizza, and Argo Tea, which will be the first teahouse on campus
Other new options include an Auntie Anne’s Pretzels and a Pizza Hut WingStreet in the Jerry Falwell Library. The Tilley Student Center will offer Farmer’s Field, a made-to-order salad concept with fresh protein toppings, including salmon, shrimp, steak, and chicken. Additionally, there will be a “smash burger” station in the Reber-Thomas Dining Hall where students, faculty, and staff can have fresh beef prepared as they watch.

I believe Medic is the man who can get that accomplished.

I asked nicely but no one listened. And I'm still butt-hurt that they took the LaHaye cams down

As we speak, I am scouring the interwebs for pics taken by others. They're out there.

new clinic on Wards Road: excellent idea, long overdue

(again thx N&A, Max Oden)
More than 200 people showed up Tuesday to tour part of Liberty Mountain Medical Group’s new full-service primary-care clinic on Wards Road. The clinic, which can handle an estimated 180 patients daily, is the result of a partnership between the Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Central Virginia Family Physicians.

“One of the things that this clinic, this building represents is tangible proof, physical proof, of the commitment Liberty University has to improve the lives and the quality of life in Lynchburg by increasing access to services for people,” Dr. Ronnie Martin, dean of the Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine said prior to Tuesday’s ribbon cutting.

I'm trying to compare this to the picture in my head of how it use to be, it is hard to believe it is the same place. I has been 7 years since i have stepped foot on that campus.

We drove around campus when we were up there last month and there were several instances where the wife and I couldn't figure out where we were on campus. We were last in Lynchburg in 2009 and it's crazy how much has changed. My biggest surprise was that Dorm 7 is still standing - it's now a female dorm. :x

I was on 7-1. I loved the homecoming float a few years ago when the students made the float a collapsing building.
