Given the current state of affairs in collegiate athletics, this could really have a long-term adverse effect upon schools like ODU, JMU and Radford when they compete against schools in their respective conferences that are private colleges or are in states which have no such student fee restrictions. I believe the law is appropriate, and I also agree with the side represented by states that are increasing the amount given to their state-run athletics departments. Each state's economic situation differs, and each state has the right to decide how valuable a successful athletic department is to the constituents footing the bill.
