If you want to talk ASUN smack or ramble ad nauseum about your favorite pro or major college teams, this is the place to let it rip.

Historically, the Auburn War Eagle has been a golden eagle, so we could have trumped them a few years ago if we had gotten a bald eagle trained. Auburn has recently added a bald eagle, "Spirit" who flies at some home games while the golden eagle "Nova" does the others.

We don't do things that other schools do. Also, I know GA Southern flies an eagle during their graduation. Not sure if they do that during football games too, but if they do, Jeff Barber certainly won't be keen to the idea.

The caboose at our baseball stadium is an idea blatantly stolen from South Carolina. Yes I know JB has very close connections there but that alone certainly proves he won't veto everything and anything just because it has been done elsewhere.

Yes, it's from South Carolina. It's his one exception. We do actually mimic South Carolina in a few things. However, the band, the cheerleaders and myself constantly had ideas get rejected because other schools do something similar. I'm not even talking big things, I'm talking about small things like skits or dances. These are ideas that none of us even anticipated needing Jeff's approval. But every single time, we were either permitted or told that we couldn't do it because another school does it.

I don't even necessarily think it's a problem that athletics is like that. I just don't ever see them implementing anything like this because it is such a big part of Auburn's game day. If it is actually apart of Georgia Southern's game-day, I would guarantee you that he won't do it, and I wouldn't blame him either.

And I picked them to win. Although I had them beating Kentucky, not beating the team that beat Kentucky.

I was thinking the same thing. Dollywood would be the place.

I know it wasn't my idea but now that we know JFLJR reads these forums can we revisit the idea of the Olympic style torch lighting ceremony that would replace the 71 flag at football games? No one else does that and it would be 100% our thing and not inspired by any other school that I know of. I brought it up to a few friends and York and Warner and they all loved the idea. When I was talking more in-depth about it with a friend he suggested the idea of having Dr. Towns light the torch during its first game.

Maybe we could have a torch atop the flag pole. When the flag reaches the top, the torch ignites.

Script Liberty?

I know it's a different word, but the idea has been done for generations up here in Columbus. We'll take anything we think we can use.

That wasn't a JB thing...that was a Dr Kerr thing (and that is a whole different discussion)

I am just concerned about the won/loss record, i.e. making playoffs and getting to host a playoff game in Lynchburg.
