A very generic definition of "Pack Line" defense is essentially playing the defense a foot or two inside the three point line. You harass the ball handler and since everyone is packed in - the thought is if your defender gets beat, he should have help within the next couple of steps.

Why?
a lot of practice time for one has to be spent on it.... 2ndly UVA methodical offense helps the defense, by playing slower on offense less possessions, less chances of other team scoring, less points for both teams. and most importantly you have to have big long athletic players to make it effective. not sure that will happen in the Big South

Its only fact if you have evidence to back it up BSK...and UVa did pretty well with the Pac Line I think. Yes they did get beat by a very good Michigan State squad (who actually runs something similar so he knows how to attack it on offense), but they have done well on both offense and defense

On top of that... one of their biggest offensive threats was injured the last month and a half.

It's hard to do...believe me I used to take departures personally not understanding who would want to leave a place like Liberty? Immature and getting started on FF at 17 or 18 and looking back you realize how silly you or the situation was, and you are now looking through a different lens w/ different perspective. Now because of that, I'm thankful for those two years with RMK because it's the ONLY reason he's here today. From a worldly perspective this career move doesn't make sense, and those on the outside looking in are wondering if he's lost his mind...when to him it's about something bigger (which not everyone on the outside can see). He built relationships on this campus that remain even to this day, which I also believe helped in the decision. His kids fell in love with this place because of those two years. Dozens more of little things led up to this day. So looking back it all had purpose in the bigger plan, which I'm thankful for.

Hand on the Bible....if you gave me the choice of any coach in the country of who we are and where we want to go it would be RMK. Just my opinion but that's what it is.

Absolute grand slam for ADJB & staff & JLFjr....this cannot be stated enough. Well done!

(PH: No company lines here....I'd just remain silent if I didn't believe what I say :D )

Their offense was efficient but it was very methodical, very SA Spurs.

If he can pull it off, it'll be fun to watch.
It will be fun to watch. And maybe start to fill up the vines center.

In the unlikely chance he leaves again after one year, what does this say about our athletic department? I'd hate to bring this up as a joke, but if it does happen then we are one of the biggest messes in all of Division I.

We may also start filling the Vines again if we start scheduling the way our football team schedules. In recent years we've stopped just short of putting AAU teams on the schedule.

Yes it will, you're right. I figured with optimism that would be implied. Be nice for people to show up rather than just for things like soar dunk. Even though they're awesome.
