It's going to be a heck of a Final Four. Lots of points should be put up, at least in the Final Four games. Wisconsin has brought new meaning to not playing defense in the tournament, and Michigan State and Duke both like to push the tempo. Wisconsin surrendering an abysmal 1.16 points per possession in the tournament. For reference, a mark that bad during the regular season would have ranked 348th out of 351 teams.

If it's a UK vs. Duke matchup in the title game it could end up being a slobber knocker. Kentucky with the best defense in the nation vs. a Duke team that is playing some pretty darn good defense in the Tournament. Duke would surely look to make it an up tempo game instead of trying to slow it down and limit the # of possession like most do against the Wildcats.

I can't even begin to imagine how massive the TV ratings will be if those two face off against each other. Two biggest brand names in the game with 40-0 on the line. Would certainly challenge for the largest TV rating for a college basketball game in the cable TV/post Magic-Bird era. Kentucky vs. Notre Dame already broke the cable tv ratings record for their Elite Eight game with a massive 9.0.

I'm a huge Duke fan but I really think that Kentucky's toughest game was against Notre Dame. Every time Kentucky has faced a really tough team, they have obliterated them. Kansas, Arkansas, West Virginia. The only exception really is Louisville, who is an in-state rival and generally plays Kentucky close. The great teams always put on the gas when they face great opponents.

I think Kentucky is going to smack Wisconsin on Saturday. Duke could beat them if they shoot really well or can get Kentucky into foul trouble and deplete some of that depth. But I still think Kentucky wins that one by 15.

Usually, I fall in love with the tournament in the first round and then I'm done with it by the final four. This year, I feel more excited about this final four than possibly the college football playoff. Many in my age group feel the same. The ratings may break records.

I'm feeling the Badgers have the height toughness and discipline to beat them.

The key is which Kentucky shows up (barring unforeseen stuff like a major injury or something freaky). What the opponent does won't really matter If Kentucky brings their A game. If they do that then it's game over.

I'm interested to see how Kaminsky does. He was held in check by Dakari Johnson, Marcus Lee, Julius Randle, and Alex Poythress last year with WCS sitting out due to injury. Randle isn't even a good defender and Dakari and Lee don't play a whole lot now (especially Lee), but the loss of Poythress could be big in this game. He would be a great person to stick on Dekker and allow Willie to roam free to defend whoever is doing any damage.

And many times this season, UK's opponent has been the determining factor in which Kentucky team shows up.

I teach in Kentucky. I pastor a church in Kentucky. I am around Kentuckians all the time. I was honestly concerned about the health of several of my church members during the Notre Dame game - one dear lady is in her 80s and is a hardcore UK fan, even camping out to meet the team pre-season.

I hope Wisconsin beats them like a drum. I have never rooted so hard for Notre Dame in my life. If they had played Coastal in the first round, I would have bought a friggin' teal T-shirt. UK basketball fans can be so arrogant and often unbearable. I will be quietly pleased if they lose.

I will be very loudly pleased if they lose. Meaning learning the words to Wisconsin's fight song and singing them very loudly.

My high school fight song was basically On Wisconsin with the name of the school changed. I've been singing it around the house all week long ;)

And Wisconsin isn't? 40% graduation rate for four-year players, 0% graduation rate for four-year black players. Now THAT is disgraceful.

I think I'd rephrase that to "Kentucky is great for college basketball"

Everyone needs a villain. Kentucky and Calipari have played that role perfectly.
