today's pro day for Jacob Hagen and others starts at 4:30. Hoping for some coverage like they did for Walt last year. Not even a mention yet.

Big difference. Walt was a guaranteed draft pick. Jacob is at best a fringe seventh rounder, more likely a UFA.

Not at all surprised at Kenny's 40 time. He was a state champion sprinter and long jumper at Appomattox HS. Those are pretty good numbers for Jacob when you combine them with his size, ball skills and nose for the football.

Just saw that Jacob also had a 36.5 vertical, which is better than Aikens did by an inch. Combine that with his length, and nose for the football and it will get some team's attention.

I think both will get a shot in somebody's camp at least with someone maybe taking a flyer on Hagen in the 7th, which in all honesty is a steal. Kid can play and thats that.

If you compare Hagan’s Pro Day performance to an NFL combine invitee such as Dean Marlowe of JMU. He is at least an undrafted invitee at an NFL camp, or best case scenario a late 6 – 7 draft pick. Hagen was the ranked in the nation for interceptions (4th best), and forced fumbles (17th best)…Marlow isn’t even ranked in these categories. Then match Hagan’s pro day numbers against Marlow’s:

Hagan is a poor mans Eric Weddle, or if you want to go old school and start digging in the crates, he’s this generations version of Nolan Cromwell. If he gets into the right NFL camp and stands out on special teams, he will make the cut.

I don't know about Jacob being a "poor man's" Eric Weddle, at least not on pre-draft stats. Weddle is 4 inches shorter than Hagan. Hagan blows him away in all pre-draft measurables except 40 time. Benched double the reps despite being a tall, long-armed guy. Weddle has made himself a very good NFL safety. It remains to be seen if Jacob can do that, so right now it's apples and oranges.
