BTW Dave Armstrong and me had the #1 play on SC Top 10 tonight! Dennis Mavin's half court heave. I want to hear the call though. SC didn't really have our sound up. Dave was pitch perfect on the call as usual.

SCAR wrote:Well this has been an unbelievable journey. I actually rode back from Birmingham to Atlanta sitting next to the Executive Producer. We had a great conversation about the future. They were so pleased with my performance this week. CUSA brass sent me a kind email today as well. I have even had personal phone calls from some Refs telling me that they think I am one of the best in the business. Dave Armstrong worked with me this week and it was the 1st time in 28 years that he wasn't covering the Big 12 Tournament. But he said he had a blast. He considers me a good friend and the best he has ever worked with! It is just overwhelming really. The guys at ASN think I won't be with them next year. I told them nobody has my number. They assured me that my phone would be ringing. I'm not holding my breath. Truthfully, keeping my day job and doing this a few months a year sounds perfect to me. I don't know if I even want to do this full time to be honest.Good for you! Now we can start hitting you up for tickets!
Liberty gave me an opportunity to develop and hone my skills to this level and I am grateful for the 11 years they allowed me to do it. But what a blessing this year has been! I got to meet and know a lot of really good coaches too. CUSA and Atlantic 10 are really good mid-major leagues. I hope to be around them for many years to come. CAA too. Thanks to CAA Deputy Commissioner Ron Bertovich for going to bat for me and acting as my defacto Agent. #LiveOn ASN (yes I know hash tags don't work in this medium SJ)

I agree that your good work will get you noticed for other posssibilties. Having some of the veteran PxP guys speaking on your behalf will go a VERY long way in getting you more work. EPs love low maintenance guys who can bring some energy to their telecasts. Let's face it, if you could make some of the LU hoops seasons of the past decade worth watching, you have earned your stripes.
And if any of them ask who is your agent, just drop my name. I'll be happy to sell your skills.

And for the record, you want no part of Juarez while in El Paso. bozlady & CJ's wife can vouch for my advice. People cross the border and don't make it back.

I am best used at game sights in my humble opinion though I can be solid in the studio as an Analyst. If Mateen Cleaves can do it...

I can't imagine that he paid less than a million for that place. It was NICE!
