UVA, VCU, Richmond. Now granted 2 of those are located in the city.
Outside of those three, what Virginia program is worth covering?
ODU is 24-6, so I'd say that's a team worth covering, although their brand of basketball is pretty boring so the Richmond sports writers probably wouldn't want to cover it unless forced to.

Were you in the meetings for those jobs BSK? There could be any number of reasons those schools decided on another candidate. I'm sure his carpetbagging probably came up, but unless you're in the room, you really don't know what the real reason(s) is/are.

As a 757 resident (born in Richmond), I doubt that they get any significant inches in the sports page unless its for a matchup with one of the three schools mentioned, regardless how good they have been this year

I like ODU but most of those fans are all in on football and not so much on basketball. Our company spends a lot of money sponsoring ODU football. Not so much with basketball.

Halfway there. Lang has said that there are two teams in his top 25 ballot with coaches who are interested in the HC job at LU. I know that three have been mentioned here, thus the algebra expression.
THERE ARE THREE INTERESTED. 3. T-H-R-E-E

UVA
Baylor
Georgetown
Wow. Ok.

I understand you, I am not sure you understand me:

Let me preface it this way, unless you or your source knows more than the beat writer for Liberty athletics (who, as of yesterday night on Twitter, was saying there are coaches from just 2 teams from his top 25 ballot interested in the LU HC position), one of those three can be eliminated.

That's subtraction. 3 rumored - 2 actual = 1 eliminated. Two teams.

So, you're saying your wife IS fat, but you just won't tell her?

Guys, I hate to bring up the obvious but we probably won't hear much for a few weeks. And I would be very surprised if this were wrapped up before the Coaches Convention at the Final Four. That is traditionally where most of the interviews go down.

VAGolf, I know several ODU alums in the area and they care very much about basketball. Richmond fishwrap writers tend to not cover Norfolk b/c its not in their market and doesn't have an ACC school there.

As for your's and BJ's relationships with your respective wives and honesty - that's your business LOL.

Finally, what Sly said is correct. We likely won't hear anything until after March Madness wraps up.

Because i disagree with you about 90 percent of the time. Besides i said layer was a bad hire in the original hire post. I said it again when we lost to hpu in the tourney after his best year. I went further to say winning the tourney was the worst thing that could have happened to us and extending him was barbers worst move, even worse than hiring him. Go look in any of those threads. I trust jb. Gill and toman are hits Mckay was fine. Richardson is tbd and layer was a dud. Sly is spot on this wont and cant heat up until conference tournaments are over at minimum.

That is not what I'm saying. I dont have a problem being honest...I just know better if I plan on sleeping in the bed every night and not on the couch

I've said all of those things. So, where are we disagreeing? I believe I was even the one who initiated the discussion about our tournament run being the worst thing that could have happened to us. I like Gill, Toman, McKay and Richardson. I like and have defended JB many times (although his wife doesn't like me). You'll have to point out where we've disagreed because I've been the first to say most of what you just mentioned.

You can be honest without being a jerk.

My educated guess is that would be the case for most schools unless the basketball team is significantly bigger than the football team, such as a play like Kentucky, for example.

why?

I mean I am not a huge fan of bringing him back but he did find a way to win here but of course it is such a small sample size but he was able to win. Of course if he came back I think JB would have to pay him what he is worth but at the same time have his word he won't jet again. I highly doubt it happens so its not worth talking about but he shouldn't be put in the same category of RD but that is just my opinion. I am curious as to why you think differently.
