If you think about it, we have it pretty good at LFSN if Alan York is the replacement pxp. And trust me if Nick leaves there are a few really good broadcasters on the student crew just waiting for the chance to really prove themselves on bigger games. (Sorry about the shameless plug for my friends)

Nick Pierce just has one of those voices that is tailor-made for radio. I like Flames baseball, but really enjoy his commentary and his calls during big moments like the few we just heard. Hope someone out there is listening and gives him his chance.

One more nugget from the doubleheader Saturday: Liberty was outscored 6-3 over the first 8 2/3 innings...over the final 11 1/3 innings, and getting down to their final strike in game 1, the Flames outscored GSU 16-2.

I don't think you'll have to worry about nick. He has a face for tv too :) I have a soft spot for nick as a fellow native Georgian. his Panthers gig is just a beginning testament to his talent. He'll wind up with a major league gig in his career. He's too good not to. I'm truly grateful for all he's done for LU athletics. He's still young and has a lot of career ahead of him.

on a side note i was really sad we had spring ball all weekend so I couldn't be up in atlanta and kennesaw(my hometown) for these games. Great to see the team going to church at my good buddy Mike Lynch's Church who also happens to be an awesome liberty grad and helps run the alumni association down here.
