I dont think he wins it...or makes final 3. frankly if Adams had not missed thse games he probably wins going away.

I figure it comes down to Robertson, Adams and Coprich

Hagen should get serious consideration for this award, but personally I'm more interested in seeing who gets BSC defensive POY. Jacob is second to Backus in tackles, but leads the entire nation in interceptions, one of which flat-out won the App State game for us. Backus was picked to win it preseason, but as impressive as his tackles total is, I think what Hagen has done is even better. LB Nick Dzubnar from Cal Poly has 169 tackles. That's 50 more than Backus. 94 of those are "shared" tackles, while Quinn only is credited with 47. Deciding if a player get's an "assist" is a REALLY subjective thing. I'm thinking there may be some creative scorekeeping in his home games.

Backus won BSC defensive POY. Lazy voters didn't take the time to actually look at who had a better year. Backus won last year and was picked to win again preseason so we vote for him. Yes he led the conference in tackles, but Hagen finished second playing SAFETY, and led the entire NATION in interceptions.
Are we back?

We back!
