KRISTI MURPHY

HUNTINGTON — Former Marshall University football player Kevin Grooms is back behind bars after breaking the terms of a plea agreement and also allegedly breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment over the weekend, according to documents filed in Cabell County Magistrate Court.

Court documents say Grooms was ordered on Nov. 18 to serve six months in jail for violating the terms of a plea agreement that was made in a misdemeanor domestic assault case. The documents did not specify what Grooms did to violate the agreement, and attempts to reach authorities Thursday evening were unsuccessful.

He was right about the guy, that is all that matters you know. Who cares about the actual guy or anything...kind of pathetic to be in the "I told you so" kind of mindset over this kind of situation. Speaks volumes.

Has nothing to do with the I told you so idea. Has everything to do with the human natural or as us believers say the "old man". Without a change inside we can never expect a change outside. As a former LBC guy the keeping the rules to be good idea is a no win. Just like keeping your nose clean so I can play idea. No question Coach Gill had the kids best interest he is a Godly man. But unless God builds the house we labor in vain. That's all I'm saying.

Big picture, seeds were planted in this guy. One day those seeds will hopefully grow and it may make an eternal difference in his life. I don't think you call this venture a success or failure, rather Coach Gill was using an opportunity to make a difference in a young man's life. It's not all X's and O's to him.
