I got bored and read some posts over there. Did anyone see the LU fan trolling them this afternoon? Reading those comments these past ten minutes has been a blast

As of 7:00 this morning, the Coastal board has 245 posts covering 17 pages, including this comment about the lack of students on campus on Friday:
Friday was like a ghost town on campus, not only did a lot of students leave early, but a lot of faculty cancelled classes.
I read all 17 pages last night to celebrate my Thanksgiving break: http://www.coastalfans.com/forum/index. ... ic=57821.0

My gang is in MYR this weekend Christmas shopping. I think they're going to hit the game, didn't say for sure, don't think they wanted to hurt my feelings. I'll be watching on the big screen, computer screen is to small for this one. Went ahead and purchased Dish TV's GamePlan Channel 461! .... GO FLAMES!

Wow, I just looked--Dish is charging $26 to watch this game! Glad I've got my handy Roku2 to watch for free. MASN, which sometimes shows our games, is instead showing G-W vs. Monmouth this afternoon.

Now there's a genius programming decision.

Here in the DR my only video option is the pirate feed (heavily buffered), and even that is sometimes blocked, in which case it's York and livestats.

Apparently there is still a chance Shells could play. Even if he can't make all his normal cuts, if he has close to his normal straight line speed he can run deep routes and present enough of a threat to keep them from loading up too much on #13.

Some idiot scheduled a soccer suspension hearing at 1PM.

Can I get away with streaming the game while trying to suspend a 14 year kid for 18 months?

YES I CAN.

Go Flames. Beat Coastal.

How much is the Roku 2, $70? This is the first game I couldn't get on MASN or KTV. I have a bunch of LU staff hanging out here for the weekend and I get a bunch of other games as well, so the $26 is not to bad.

I remember doing a Dish PPV one Thanksgiving several years ago in Tallahassee when I drove my parents down to see my brother: it was for the UVa-Tech football game and worth every penny!
If you run into Santa tell him I need one! :football

I'm watching Gameday and they just ran a segment on FCS rivalry games with playoff implications .... showed no respect to the Big South whatsoever. They promo'ed a half dozen games and nothing on number one Coastal Carolina.

Because it isn't a real rivalry game.

Agreed...the games they previewed have history and prestige. Harvard-Yale, Lehigh-Lafayette, Auburn-Alabama, Michigan-Ohio State, UCLA-USC...all those are rivalries. Liberty-Coastal...probably will never get to that level

What did that kid do to deserve an 18 month ban?

Well the kid got tossed from a game for punching another kid in the face. Then he played in the next game (while suspended). It is failing to serve the suspension that warrants massive penalty. The kid's coach also had a hearing today for playing him. The minimum suspension is the rest of the seasonal year (through August) plus an additional year. I think the state association is abnormally off on this punishment, so hopefully the kid gets nothing. He's already served 8 games throughout the process.

It's still not as bad as the parent who ran on the field and punched a 16 year old in the face during a 20 person brawl, so we're all good.

As a BIG fan of the '"U" I guess we know now who else we be paying a visit to Williams Stadium for the last game of the season, usually with this game being for all the marbles.

Petey or Shells vs Ray Lewis III - young man has a target on his back for sure, just like Deion Sanders son at SMU. Unless he goes back to RB at Coastal.

I coached with a Penn State legend in Duffy Cobbs (All time INT leader) and said the Canes were without a doubt all that they were advertised to be. Knock down drag out championship game vs PSU. People can hate on the swag the "U" carried but like he said for the most part that played a part of the intimidation factor and that more times than not they had teams beat before the first quarter was over. I wish we had that kind of intensity and nastiness (within rules) that they did. You see it in some but not all, on this team too. I hate to use the choir boy, but it is what it is.
